Leaving your gear in the trailer...

Was wondering how many guys leave all your gear hanging in the enclosed trailer all summer.....pro's and con's anyone has???

I am in Southwest Idaho not too rainy and not super hot so climate and humidity not a real issue.. new to the enclosed world..

thanks!

I usually leave my motocross gear hanging in the trailer all summer, but that trailer is getting used pretty frequently. The snowmobile trailer stays pretty much closed up and there is always a few bugs that seem to get in there. sled hoods end up with a couple drops of fly crap on them. About the only problem I can think of. If your trailer is tight enough that you don't see any of that happening then you should be ok.

I did last summer, just a little dusty is all. Rodents should be the biggest concern, make sure there's no way for them to get in. I also open the roof vent.

I tried that here in WA for about a month this winter and even with a fan running the moisture never really went away. Little mildew on a couple items. Different climate you're in, but all summer?
How hard is it to wash and pack up your gear into a couple totes so its all clean, dry and ready to go next winter?
Besides, the downfall I seen with storing the gear in the trailer was when working on the sleds, something is always in the way and just makes the gear even stinky er idling sleds in the trailer.
My vote is take the stuff inside.

All great replies.... Am I going to leave the gear in the trailer all summer...probably not but just seeing what and how someone else does it...like I posted I am new to owning a enclosed trailer and I have 2 guys I know that leave the gear in all summer.

I have left my gear in my trailer for the last 5 years but my trailer is stored in my shop. Which stays pretty close to 70* all summer.

My camper was stored in a secured area with locked gate and security cameras and that didn't stop the thieves. They caused over $3000 damage to the trailer including stealing the stereo and ripping the amp off the wall, removing ceiling speakers and taking everything except the equalizing hitch. They took helmets, gloves, first aid kit, flashlights and even the dogs prescription rimadyl. Never caught them. The police were genuinely not too interested in trying to find clues. Lots of other campers were broke into that night.

Glad I didn't leave the quads or dirt bike inside the camper.

I live a few hours from you and have stored gear in trailer for years. Camp in it for four days in July, throw it all back in. I park inside an open door Quonset, so heat never gets too extreme. No issues with bugs spiders, or dust. (I close my vent- go figure). I do shove steel wool in furnace intake and exhaust to keep mice out.
