Also got a Goldfinger thrown on as after 175 miles of riding the new chassis I have found that there are still a few situations where I would like to have one.... One little thing got me upset though as when I took the stock throttle bolt off, the C-clip went flying under the hood through the space between the recoil handle and the hood:eek::eek: after about 45 mins of looking everywhere I could possibly see with a flashlight, I have been unable to locate it:eek::confused: I sure hope it is resting somewhere in the belly pan and didn't fall in the little hole in the stator housing:eek::eek::eek: But there's just no way to know, the sled still runs fine in both forwards and reverse, so here's hoping I'm just being paranoid.

Also finally got a chance to get my muff-pot taken off of my old 800 to put on the 900, and it fits like a glove... one of the most important mods you can do;):D

Also trimmed back my hood vent since it has been rubbing on my FNI airbox... seems to be ok now, time will tell.

Just thought I would share my ground-breaking work today.... ;) Well, we can't all have big bore's I guess:eek::D

Looks great.... I thought I was the only one in the world who would spend that much time looking for a 3 cent c-clip when it is probably resting safely in the bell pan. lol. I ended up tipping the sled towards the clutch side and shaking it and finally I could see it through the opening at the bottom between the clutches. Rest easy though, you know it is out of harms way.

That windshield is awesome, where did you get it?

Sled is looking schweeeeeeet!!:beer;:D

It was on it when I bought it. It's just a standard black Polaris IQ windshield...It does seem to go good with the rest of the sled tho:D:D:beer;

Nice sled looks clean. Just a heads up on the muff pot keep a eye on it as the 900 vibs. so much it brakes the mount. Other then that keep on moding.

The sled is looking great, nearly showroom condition. There are so many places to loose that c-clip in the belly pan that you'll never find it, I doubt it fell into the stator, that would just be shi--y luck.

By the way, I installed my new Muff-Pot in the same location as you have. The base cracked and failed within four rides. It just wasn't 900 Proof...., the vibrations killed the base plate.... Have you tried yours yet, how long has it lasted?

I will have to build a stronger base plate for mine if it goes back on my 900.

Cheers

Thanks for the vote of confidence... also, the TPS wire was sitting directly on the view port, covering about 3/4 of it.... I couldn't even imagine the odds of it actually bouncing just right to make it in there.....:eek: I'll just keep an eye out for it if or when I pull the motor down the road.....

Haha, no, I have not ridden it since I got the cooker installed. I know it has survived over 2,000 miles on my 02 800 with nothing more than 1 broken hose clamp late last spring, so here's hoping it'll be ok:D
