No one in their right mind would take these clowns seriously, so they're buddying up with the ambassador of Bolivia....? Bolivia, who happens to still have a burr stuck in its butt over the US Government trying to shut down coca production, as Bolivia once produced 1/3rd of it in the world.

i grew up with 3 big res's around us. i know and have many indian friends, and it's still okay to call them indians, at least that's what they tell me. now, there are some that are very hard working, but unfortunately, they get ridiculed by others on the res for working too hard! until you live around and with the people, you don't truly have an understanding of the situation. for the most part, they are nice people, but not the most motivated. they do abuse most of their own stuff, example, new houses with holes cut into the bathrooms so the tub can be used as a trough. they get free everything here, and just abuse it. like i said, this is fairly general, not all of them are like this, but unfortunately for them, the most visible and the most often seen are!

All I have to say is a guy I know got his thumb cut off for being a white guy at the wrong house on the rez here in Wyo, and his buddy got stabbed in the back IIRC.

Never seen it for myself and I can't remember if it's the Rosebud or Pine Ridge Reservation. But at one time there use to be just sign after sign of the "Why Die" signs. Story I had heard was that they were there because so Indians would walk from the res to the nearby town off the res to buy boose. Then while walking back they would proceed to get inibriated and stumble into traffic. last I heard the average was well over 10signs per mile. Don't know if they're still up yet.

ACTUALLY if you look at the change in the total culture of the US in the last 40 years you will see that change can happen FAST ! ! !

This whole thing is being "handled" by Russell Means who is about as useful and is looking out for as many people as the good good Rev.s Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson.

I will agree that MANY years ago the plains indians got jammed and taken advantage of, but that shouldn't translate to generations of people feeling that they have been effected. Just cause someone's great great grandfather got wronged doesn't mean that they have been. If you look at it this way, there are MANY people that have had land taken from them over the centuries and in most cases they didn't get handouts/assistance/whatever you what to call it from the invaders that took the land.

Me and 2 other hunters got our elk a couple of years ago on public land, the land we ride on is public as are the lakes we fish at. I have not paid a red cent to use someone's land for any recreational endeavors, but thanks for asking.

excellent post, [public land] thats the way the indians veiwed it, the united states violated every treaty they made with the indians. i have many good freinds that are navajo they work hard and ask for nothing, i hope they find oil on there reservation and each one of them get a million

Then since they won't be "opressed" anymore, they can take all that money and pay back the U.S. taxpayers every single cent!

There are good indians and there are bad indians just like any other ethnicity in the world. I know a few that have done something with their lives and good for them. To the other's that are nothing but leeches to society.......$%#& you!

If they break away from the USA and form their own nation they will not last 6 months guaranteed.
