KX450 Clearance issues?

I'm ready to close a deal on an 09 KX450F and planning on mounting a 16 ST Tss but have been told there might be clearance issues between the track and the frame or the shock linkage?
Has anyone had this problem? Thanks

Yeah, I get that. If funds would allow, I would definitely go with a newer bike, but I am trying to do the best I can with the available funds. the KX looks like a good buy for the money, but that's only if the Timbersled kit
fits on the bike.

we have a 09 with older kit and there are no clearance issues. I dont see why there would be on newer kit either. its a good bike go for it

I've heard good things about the Honda and Yamaha kits, but had heard about these possible clearance issues on the Kawasaki. I am open to any of the 3 fuel injected bikes, Im just dependent on availability.

FI isn't the be all end all for snow biking, there are plusses and minuses for both FI and carbs. There are some great running carb bikes out there. Looking at carb bikes would broaden your options.

I have an 11 kx and with a 16LT with TSS and don't know of any clearance issues? Where did you hear of this? And the newer bikes with the air forks would not be on my list!

hmm the new air forks will not require a spring change, Jus pump up and tune to your desire , Yes pressures are slightly effected by temps but no more than Fox Floats

I think it's only the 15/16 KX that has the clearance issues with the new 2.5 tracks (the paddle can rub the linkage mount). No issues with the older bikes. The KX is a strong bike to have and is one of the best bikes of that generation. The YZ was weak around 09-12 compared to the KX. 2011 was also a great KX year.
