Kudos to cat in 09

johnny be bad, as a Polaris owner, I don't mind saying that the XP is a very capable sled. One of my buddies rides one and it does very well. I just can't get used to how they handle and (for me) how difficult they seem to be as far as getting them to initiate a turn/carve in the powder. My IQ just seems much, much easier to me. Now, I've been told you just have to spend some time on them and everything else will seem terrible by comparison. Well, why would I waste riding time fighting to get used to an XP (or Rev for that matter) when the IQ feels so natural by comparison ???

PS: The "tin foil" comment by me was just a joke, although our quest for lightweight sleds has brought us to the XP which does have components that will bend easier because of our desire for "lightness".

it took me 5 goods rides to get uses to the xp! but once your uses to it, youll love it!!!

It took me one ride to get used to my rev???? can you give me some of that Stuff your smokin? dang....
Why would you want what I smoke ? It's obviously nowhere near as potent as the crap you're lighting up.

And johnny, maybe I would get used to an XP after a few full-day rides, but my point is that I love the IQ chassis. It's very easy to ride/carve, etc., does everything I want it to do and takes me higher than I need to be. Why waste what little riding time I have getting used to a totally different chassis ? Different strokes ...........

i use to say the same thing! but after a season on the xp. the 07 rev i rode felt bad!

Troll!!
Don't you have a wife or kids to f with??:D
Sure starting to see a bunch of butt-hurt D8 and XP riders so far this year. This whole stock to stock thing isn't quite working out so far this year especially for the XP fellas from what we're seeing. The M8 looks like the right choice this year for the 800 bragging rights eh.

I'm glad you're on the doo team ! I'll bet you're one of the stars.

Each and every sled has its own characteristics, all the new ones work like never before in history get used to it STFU get out and ride and stick it to each other, nobody's winning sitting on the computer. I like my m8 because its smooth, reliable, and nimble,I like my poo 900 because of the power, maybe next time i will buy a doo just because they seem to work pretty good but whats up with the carbs still? puts them behind every other brand IMO for reliability,I hope next year they will change that. I would never go there without efi...never!

From what I am hearing the 2010 cats are the ones you want.
They are finally tweeking their 2 strokes into the HP and torque numbers that doo and poo have now. Put that with their chassis and it will be one potent sled.

They have improved chassis quite abit.

And I can't stand the XP. It just feels "weird".
I'll stick to a poo or cat.

hmm

I don't care what you ride, just ride. Although I just got a 09 m8 hcr and could'nt be happier. One of our riding buddies has a old phazer and its awsome. Brand wars suck.

Fellas, lets just be friends

Okay here it goes. All new sleds are really cool and work great, some excel where others falter and vice-versa. I think that the XP's work great, the IQ RAW's work great, the M's work great, the Yami's work great, and everything in between works great, lets not forget that EVERYONE has their preferences. Remember they all have bads and goods. Now can we all just be friends and go ride?

I'm fairly sure that they are all way close performance wise, or else there would be no competition between brands. Then there would be only one brand that sells one model that would be priced at $30,000. These brand wars are pointless, if you took a D8 163, a M8 162, and a XP8 163 and had the same rider hit the same hill with them consecutively they would all put a mark within feet of each other. A rider can get use to any sled he or she buys and make it work for them. What this boils down to is choose what you like then find the dealer that is right for you, if you don't have a dealer that will work with you through problems that may arise through your course of ownership you have nothing.
