Koso X2 guage

Hey where did you order that part from, I would just get the same thing as we are going to have the same setup. Thanks for your help in advance

Well, finally had a chance to get everything installed. Went pretty smoothly. Had a local shop weld the bung in my exhaust pipe and they did a pretty nice job. Just had enough wiring to run from the gauge to the 02 sensor. This wire is part of the gauge and there is no extension for it. I installed the water temp sensor in the hose behind the radiator. I installed the boost sensor near the GEMS box and had an extra tee fitting from my boost controller setup so I tied into the boost line going to the blow off valve.
I really like the setup, it looks clean and it seems to work great. The only thing I dont like is that you cannot set the AFR lean warning any lower than 14.7. I would like to set it at 12 for WOT but I will just keep an eye on it til I get everything dialed in.

I also had to cut out a piece of an old tunnel to mount the gauge to. The mount that comes with the gauge needs a plate to be mounted to so you might have to be a bit creative with it.

Greasemonkey you are going to like the x2. I have a steering relocator kit so I mounted my x2 bracket to the rider side of the handlebar riser, with 2 rivets. I also relocated the speedo/tach to the bottom of the riser. The whole thing looks factory, and is quick to view when climbing or standing.

Apex Jeff,
Could you post a pick of your setup, I am going to get mine installed in the next çouple of weeks. Thanks

That looks awesome, thanks for posting the picks! I will get my picks up after my install is complete.

Attached is a picture of KOSO X2 guage, I like the size and it was mounted underneath handle bars. Like the style and very easy to read.

Grease Monkey,
what is your a/f ratio at idle? and also when you increase the throttle does your a/f ratio stay the same, run more lean or rich. Thanks

That looks nice! Is there a quick release disconnect on the back of the gauge by chance?

I'm still on my trusty analog gauges and may need a update sometime:

At idle Im about 11.8-12.0 when the engine is warmed up to 160 F and at 1500 rpm. I do have a rich spot at around 6800 rpm because it burbles a bit and then cleans up. Looks the afr when this happens is around 10-10.4. May need to take a bit of fuel away from this if possible. Im not really too familiar with the gems controller yet. At WOT Im at about 5.5 psi of boost and an afr of about 11.5-11.8. Anyone know if I am supposed to hear the bov when I let off with 5 psi?

Took it out for a little rip the other night and stopped for a chat with some of the guys. After about 15 mins, I started it up and rode off and noticed that the afr is flashing 24 all the time. Pulled to the side and restarted it and it went down to 13 and then back to flashing 24. Brought the sled home in the garage and let it sit for a day and dry out and when I put the key back on without starting, it will go through its cycle and then flash 24 again. If I start it up, it will start reading down around 12.8-13 at idle and then back to 24 again. If I unplug it the gauge will just have 3 small lines going across it. The sled runs fine so I know its not lean.
I called Koso and they are trying to recreate the problem but have had no luck so far. Im thinking that the 02 sensor went for a crap. I took it out and had a look at it and looked at the connector and all the pins and it seems fine. Even the heating element part of it seems to be working because it gets warm in my hand after a minute.
Anyone else have an 02 sensor go bad and what did your gauge read when it did?

Sounds like a bad O2. My buddies innovator and another friends AEM both give those readings (low 20s) every time they go bad. They both run av gas and race fuel because they run more boost, go thru a sensor a season, the sensors don't like lead.
