took the wife in for the first time ever on sunday, the hill past the stetson was scetchy but the trail in to the lake was the best i have ever seen it and the weather was aewsome, it was about +2 and the sun popped out around noon. great day and still lots of fresh snow to be had.

Not to many people come in from the B.C. side like the AB side but there still is a few. the B.C. gov spent $700,000 fixing up the roed this summer to improve access to Kakwa park. I have not seen it yet this year but I heared they brush cut the way in. In your Icon it says your from Grand forks, Do you come all the way up here to go to Kakwa?

whats the road in, the walker? i was in there this fall and was talking to some of the guys at a camp down there said they were extending it, not to sure if its plowed in the winter tho, never rode kakwa before.

I have been in a few times before but I haven't been there for a couple of years, planning 4 days beginning of March.

BC parks ripped down the old cabins at the lake and built one new one. I don't know what accomidations you guys use in there but you might want to check with the Prince George snowmobile clud about accomidations. We normally head in the middle of march.

I heard the new cabin's use is subject to the same restrictions as the old one.
We are going to bring tents as backup, hope not to use them.

The new cabin you don't have to move out if the rangers show up. They got a fancy new cabin up there as well. Just have to beat the Albertians to it...

They are low on snow. Unless it snowed since Saturday, there was maybe 1 or 2" of new snow ontop of the two week old tracks in most places. It is a bit of work to find fresh new fun snow. Then again, where is else is a lot beter right now? Still fun to get out...

you could have gotten a suntan on saturday out there...definitley hero snow now, trail was wicked-thanks groomer guy we threw a tip in donation box for ya. if you know were your going you'll find snow, still worth the trip
