It's getting close to that time again, hows the snow been staking up for those who have been in setting up camp?

Kakwa is open now. There's enough snow so they opened it early. Heard reports snow is good.

Not too fast.... You're not allowed to sled off trail from the staging area and not passed the BC border until December 1st. So unless you want to go burn a little bit of gas on a short bit of trail don't waste the drive.

I apoligize for posting that Kakwa was open early. Heard through friends and it sounded legit. In case you wonder no I don't know who went in early. We're looking at going in friday evening as of now. Anyone else going this weekend?

Went to Kakwa on Tuesday Dec 1st. Trail groomed to the falls I think, we turned off to go to the lake. It looked like there had been a couple sleds in a while ago. Creeks still open, we ended up sinking a sled in one creek by the river on the way back out. Lots of snow at the cabin, (no problems crossing the lake) we headed up in to Babette but had to turn back because of clutch problems. It was a pretty good day up untill the clutch problems, and digging a sled out of a creek.
