Just out of curiosity

If you decide to go with the SC'er, Its a top notch well designed piece and MPI is very helpfull. I just dont want you to be mislead about the install. They do come with a good instruction sheet, BUT there are many things in those instructions that have or havent been updated since the original RX-1 carb days. there also also several times they "Assume" you know what they are doing next. lol

There is also several things not in the correct order of installation, there will be times you end up taking things back apart to complete something three steps later. Its just not as well thought through as it could be.

The best thing you could do is read the complete instructions start to finish a couple times.

Good luck with what ever boost option you decide to go with. Eric

christopher did a pretty awesome install of his s/c. i definitely suggest reading through it if you plan on self-installing it. it didnt seem too bad, but there are a few things he deals with that are a great heads up before you buy you kits. and he tells you things that arent in the manual:face-icon-small-sho. good luck, im saving for mine next summer...hopefully.

So where in Canada can I get some prices on these kits?

Have done both turbo and super charger.
Aside from doing the head shim the turbos are any bit as easy to install .
MCX for sure is the easy and most trouble free kit I have seen.
Also with turbos there is very little weight gain.
The super definitely ads a bunch of weight , I just finished mine up and am even looking to relocate the batterie to the back of the sled to get some weight out of the nose.
Power comes on hard of the bottom, it needs to be clutched for low engagement with a hard upshift to make the most out of the excellent bottom end power.
I am still working on clutching that maintains max RPM in the deep stuff at high track speeds to reduce the falling flat top end.
If RPM drops of so does boost =less power = falling flat on top.

hows that turbo for boon dockin? ive read that the s/c probly a better choice for that, but im trying to add as little weight as possible. i do like to climb, but more of a boon dockin type.

For tight tree riding I like my 180 turbo kit. The bottom end is very "stock like" which for me is fine. The power is there when I grab the throttle if I need it. This is probably a matter of personal preference more than anything and how and where you ride.

For me the turbo worked great when I did a test ride last spring, so that I what I ended up ordering. It is nice to have choices.

MCX 180 kit if you have a Nytro is about as good as it gets for boon-docking.

Easiest install and 0 running issues stock bottom end with 180 hp at any altitude.

No messing with fuel controllers plug in and run.

For the Nytro that one is the ultimate boon-dock kit. There is no change to the balance of the sled, take of the heavy muffler and instal the heavy turbo.

There is no low boost set up for the apex that is why I went with the

supercharger .
