Just finished watching Boondockers V Alive!!!

While were ranting.....

I vote no TALKING, none, not a fcking word. Im super sick of lame commentary, and listening to this riders bio etc etc. If i wanting a Bio i'll watch A&E, I know some people may like this but why not include it in the "Bonus" section. I watched SH4, killer footage, awesome skillz on the camera, awesome editing etc, I think Thomas Opre did a fantastic job on the vid, BUT this video is hard to watch after the first time because all the rider segments have them in split screen yapping. I love to toss on a sled flick when im entertaining in my home with friends over, volume up and just some good action in the background, but how can ya do that with people yappin in the vid the whole time ?? Not slammin SH4, as mentioned above there is so many plus's to the movie, but one big negative IMO.

SledNecks 11, it's a typical slednecks movie, exactly what i thought it would be. It's a new year, but IMO they have always stayed consistant, this is there style, always has been, always will be. Tough to slam it because after watching there flicks in years past u should know what to expect. Just like Thunderstruck has the same riders, same chutes and climbing mostly in hero snow, with the exception on Randy's sick segment, it is exactly like there past movies, just a new year on new sleds. Some love it, some don't. But again, Jim has done a good job staying consistant in the type of action, the way its filmed, edited etc.

The only video's that get me pumped is DEEP powder, reason being thats the style of riding i enjoy doing and watching ! I dont care if its deep climbing, deep booning, deep downhill turns, deep carving, jumping and droppin into the deep pow, I LOVE IT. Some people obviously hate it, and want to watch dudes climbing the same shiot on different days, hero climbing, ramp jumping, average day riding, same jump 20 diff times, left right left same hill carving, list goes on etc etc.

This is why I enjoy having a selection every year of 10 to 20 different films. Choose the one which appeals to you. I think most film makers do an awesome job and have there own market.

Choice is great !!!!

Keep making films fella's, not everyone will like them, just like fake boob's i guess....:beer;:D:);):beer;

fake boobs are fun !!! but real ones are better !!! ive been waiting for the boondockin kind of movie with deep pow and sidehillin for dayz ! dont get me wrong i like the hill climb movies as well but these jumping movies with wood ramps doin tricks ill never be able to do ! no thanx i will never buy one ! to each his own ! like ol darko said over the hood POW and a bluebird day u cant go wrong there in my book

x2

i would like to see vids with more deep pow climbing and such. anyone can climb in the hero snow and although the chutes in some of the big climbing movies are nuts, it looses alot of the excitement when you know the guys probably gonna make it. but throw a few feet of pow on that hill and it would be a hole different ball game and more entertaining IMO. as far as the slednecks type stuff the last one of them movies ive bought is i think number 4 or 5 cuz that freestyle ramp jumping and stuff dont thrill me.

as far as boondockers V goes i bought it last weekend also and over all i thought it was a good movie, but i thought it started out a bit slow and there was a bit to much of the side to side down hill stuff for my liking. i kept thinking that guy should see if he could turn around right there and go back up cuz thats what i would try. but this is just my opinion and i think after that the movie was great. although i woulda liked to see more of the aftermath of some of the crashes like where, i believe it was gardinar, hit the tree right at the beginning, funny stuff, or where the two sleds hit each other towards the end, would like to see how they came out of that one.

I would like to hear more about the boobs. By my estimation medically enhanced ones are every bit as fun as real ones. In fact, I think that the term "Fake" is misleading and wrong. If you can squeeze them and go blublublublublublublu between them they are not fake. They may be enhanced, but the are not FAKE. Some may prefer the more natural sag and movement of non modified mammaries, and we must respect their opinions, but unless they are cartoon boobs they are not fake. Back to the movie reviews!:)

To each his own, I have seen every major vid out this year and my fav.............................................Boondockers with Elevation in close 2nd. But thats cause its the type of riding I'm into. The others have some sick climbs but it's not my thing. I was a big fan of the soundtrack personaly.
Chazzer nice job trolling though.

hahahahaha A-FREAKIN-MEN!

Ima be honest with you, the Boondockers Alive soundtack is dope and if your a stoner:eek: your gonne like the movie A LOT more just because of the slow mo powder carving and sweet hippy tunes. The big hillclimb videos are only cool, TOO ME, because of the sleds. I watch MMM and TS and such movies purely to see $35k sleds that i could only dream of riding and hearing boosted yammis.. Now that gets you pumped to smell some exhaust! Especially 2 stroke:beer;

didn't read all the comments.

But I thought Boon5 kicked a$$.

The music aside from maybe 1 or 2 songs was great.

But I dislike watching chute after chute or jump after jump 20x in a row...and love insane, DEEP pow...so...

I could watch and listen to hours of BD5 footage. :P

Watching sick climb after sick climb, and then insane crashes just gets old..to me..

Different vids for different kids.
Or something like that.

I'm neutral on the boondockers movie this year...half of me liked it the other half fell asleep. I can't help but agree with just about everyone on thi s thread. The movies have become too predictable. S.o.s. over and over. If you want something new, try Hangfire. I had to watch that movie about four times in a row...totally different. It's what a movie claiming to be "boondockers" should be all about. True talent from names I've never heard of!! I liked danger zone 3 and the new thunderstruck the best so far and the only other one I'm gonna buy is Krazy Canadians...gotta see that!!!

Darko - Great post! I agree with every thing said in your post and with most other posts. I guess what I really wanted to see is more variety in the film. Good parts but it just seemed to go on and on with the same thing. Oh, and I can do without the bio's, but could do with some sled music if you know what i mean.....:D

Stlhead - What can I say...... Best post this year??? Fck yeah!!!

C O 2.0 - I have to agree with you most. I think your picking up what im puttin' down. The side to side $hit got to be to much for me. But watching sledding is way better then watching ET or some $hit like that.

Im just glad to get so much feed back on this topic. If I would have known i would have posted what movie to get! TS7???

Chaz

Crazy Canadian...is that Dan Davidoff? If so does he have a movie out? I bet its good if he does.

I agree. I hate it when all you see in the movie is somebody jumping on a ramp. It does get a little old to watch them climb all day too. I want to see a variety. But no ramp jumping. I liked TS7 the best this year. Psssssss More boondocking:D

My buddy just got home from calgary and we decided to throw this frisby in............. and well. He's laughing at me for buying this waste of plastic...........

Now im a little mad..........

I dont like feeling like a moron for making a stupid purchase.......... And i dont like getting laughed @ either

Whatever...............

Chaz

 Did you not read the front of the movie?? It said boondockers, not slednecks.

Yeah puzzy, i can read...........

I thought the the climbs would be powder, not concrete. The only powder in this flick is ridden down hill.

Must have alot of flat landers posting................

Chazzer

I have not seen the movie, but I guarantee it is better than watching Lipstick Jungle, my wife watches that horrible show every week and I never can go to sleep when it is on. I would rather watch dyno pulls than watch the crap they put on TV nowadays.

Couln't agree more Darko.

I'll buy three only this year...
509's new vid (Gotta support the locals):D
Jlowes new one, Elevation (Never been disappointed other than the excessive interviews of riders in the last one):o
Summit HD's latest (Their last one was the exact type of riding me and my group do...They just do it better, Now that's Boondocking);)

This will be the first year NOT to buy a TS product. Enough is enough. Same Same. Sorry Jim.

Although I might have to take a look at Davidoff's film....

No Im not a flatlander. and incase you didn't know.. boondocking isn't climbing hills. Thats called hill-climbing, NOT what it said on the cover.
