Just finished watching Boondockers V Alive!!!

I have to say the best part about this show was the credits......

Really. I was really disapointed with this show. If you want to watch some dudes doing a slolom through some birch trees (NOT alpine) in a few feet of snow, then but this flick. If you want to see some powder riding........ Downhill, then this is your movie. If you dont like turbos and big hill climbs, you should purchase this film.

I bought this vid the other day pumped about sledding thought it would get me going...... Nope.

This flick looked like our group driving around in the snow. Not any crazy extreme riding. Few parts were Holy $hit to me, actually very few. The revy part was good and that dude who had an xp and the cat at the end was good and so was the end. The end of the film was great.

I felt angry watching sled after sled going left right, then left then right, then left then right, then left then right.........Get it? Painfull! the sound track even sucked! 2 decent songs in 45 minutes. The quality of the filming was kinda poor too. Felt like I was watching this movie on basic cable....... I think I have the first mountain mod mania around somewhere, I should throw that in, same caliber of film only years apart.

I was hoping to buy 509 evalution but it was not available, too bad.

If anyone wants to buy my dvd i will sell it cheap!

Sorry but this is my opinion of the film and sorry if I offended anyone. :(

But if you want a good sled video, look else where for good western riding.

I actually feel bad writing this.......... I may have to high of expectations i guess.

When you bought a movie called "Boondockers" how could you expect Extreme hillclimbs ?

LOL, I mean really, the name kinda sounds like what you described the video is like. Seems obvious to me.

That video was dope. The Dude on the orange M was probly dropping bigger hits than you do brother. It was better than a slednecks video or mountain mod mania. I wouldnt say Thunderstruck though! It did lack some Turbos though, but maybe Boosted apexs arent the best sled for tight carves through trees in low spring snow??

I agree dude!

The one guy was pretty crazy but out of the whole movie, he was the only one. Oh Dans little part was good too.

I dont mind the Boondockers theme but they showed the same dude on the same sled going through the same trees 3 times in 3 different setions in the vid, and it was a 5 mph side hill through some birch trees! Really lame!

Darko- On the cover of this thing theres a dude flyinng through the air. Obviously you cant judge a book by it's cover but I remember that jump in the film, it was one of about 10 that were extreme. Actually I think there was a song that may had some Banjo's in it...............

I bought this vid to show some of the guys at work what some of the crazy dude's do out there do, but i wont be taking this one in. Pretty boring.

BTW - The DVD is still for sale.......;)

I enjoyed this one allot. It was more of the same kind of riding most people do. Allot of deep powder shots, and goin through the trees. Powder over the hood is what gets me goin, and this had plenty of that. I agree on the soundtrack, but I haven't seen a movie yet with a soundtrack I liked except Boost1. By far the best music in a video I've seen to date, and the only one I can actually listen to in stereo, and not even have to watch the movie.

i liked boony 5.to me a boring film is 300,30 second shots of cloudy day hillclimbs.weeeeee, like we havent seen that before.snore.zzzzzzzzz.

That's what I was thinking. I thought the movie was great! I guess some people like boondocking and some like hill climbing, different strokes for different folks.

I thought it was a great film.

Best soundtrack to date in snowmobiling movie, and I thought the lack of turbo Apex's blasting straight up some shoot was awesome. Hill climibing movies are boring. Point and shoot. Who has more money invested in their sled. Yay. At least in Boondockers there was technical riding that is actually fun to watch and learn from. And tons of great pow action. I would bet most will like this movie because it's how they ride. The best way to judge a film is if it makes you want to ride. This one deffinitely did. WAY better than Slednecks 11, though not up to par with Slednecks 10, the best movie of all time. :D:beer;

$10 ?

I guess what i'm trying to say is, there is some really great tallent out there and I thought this movie would showcase what riders are capable of doing and where the sleds can go. Pushing the limits. I didn't see to many limits pushed. Maybe i fell asleep ;)

To me it was like watching our ride group on TV. I see that all the time so it's not really 'amazing' to me. I knew when I bought this vid it would have 'some' feild riding, low elevation, small slope tree riding, but not the whole movie.

I guess the vid was OK but I would not recommend this film as a must watch sled movie. Sorry.

Squeal - I dont want to rip you off dude. $10 bones is a little steep.......;)

I think i'll take it back to the dealer and let them play it in the showroom. I will not be watching this film again.

I'm just a little dissapointed with this film........ Thought it would be better.

I really loved this movie and have watched it several times and if you think you can hang with Dan Gardiner and Phatty on the mtn I would pay to see it. Great Flick, With Great Riding!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought Slednecks 11, Danger Zone 3, and Boondockers Alive this year. The boondockers film was the worst of the three IMO. Yes it had a couple good parts with Dan and a few others, but it just didn't have what I was looking for in a film. Some of those cuts through the trees were pretty insane, but too much flat land and slight downhill turning left/right/left stuff. I did like the soundtrack though. Not as much hate metal as some other films I've seen in my day... I feel Danger Zone 3 was the best of these 3 films....Especially if you like turbo's and gnar climbing... :beer;

this video shows what the best sledding is all about deep pow! I get bored watching the steep climbs on spring snow. Loved boondockers alive. If you didn't like it why don't you make your own. I thought everything was good music cameras everything. Good job boondockers crew!!!

I also have seen those 3 films as well as the new 509. i actually liked last years 509 better but the new one isn't bad. The only new film I haven't seen is the new TS 7. I hear it's real good.
The fact is you can't please everyone all of the time. There are a lot of different styles of riding and certain people either relate to or are impressed by different stuff. Frankly I enjoy watching them all. For crying out loud it's sled vid's, better than watching lame old reality tv!!

WHAT ??????? Other than the Chris Burandt section on SN 11 and a few of the cliff jumps through the rocks slednecks was the exact same as it has been for the past 4 years. Oh look a corinice lets jump up through it and turn in left in the air. and repeat it 11,000 times. I already sold 11 it was sooo disappointing. But that is just my 2 cents. And no I am not saying that I am a big badazz that could hang with them it was way too repetitive for me

If you didn't like it why don't you make your own.

That is a stupid statement. Easier said then done there.... There is a little thing most of us lack in this sport. TIME AND MONEY!!! Not to mention, most of us don't go so big to the point where we total our own sled then have a laugh about it cause you don't give a crap LOL.

To each their own, I ride out west, I sidehill and climb more so that is what I like to watch... I paid the money for the video just like everyone else so no need to bash me cause I have my own opinion... I'm sure I'll still watch it multiple times again regardless, cause yes, it's still better than watching crap TV.

I vote NO MUSIC for the win. That is why I liked Danger Zone 3 so much. Have the option to have no music so you can hear those sleds!!!
