Jaws or HPS

Sending, not sure what jaws does no one round here has one. I will be testing and weighing a mbrp when the snow flies. A lot of sledders round here say they work great at our elevation 9-13k.

Mbrp worked great on my assault.. Just decided I wanted a quiet sled. Now starting to re think putting it back on for the sound haha

So at the top of the thread you get 4-5 guys saying the HPS can is "not too loud" or "quiet" and then at the bottom its "too loud". I definitely like a more quiet sled. The rider doesn't get the full effect. It is the guy you go by at full throttle who gets the ringing ears. Had planned to just leave it stock but 7lbs for $300 is cheap weight loss. Also, has anyone dyno'd the cans to see if there is power loss. Hate to lose 7lbs and 5hp. That is not a good trade.

i am torn on which can i want now..almost had a deal on the super q...So now i'm not sure which can is better jaws or hps...I might eventually put the PA head on but as of now just gonna run it stock...I know and read that the HPS works great with the PA head but if i do get the PA head will it work just as good with jaws?

stock works best.

X2 i realy wanna know if there is a power loss woth the hps before buying one..ive heard alot of ppl say they love em and some are claiming the need to run less weight meaning power loss.

I know HPS claimed a hp gain, I can't say I notice any but did not notice a loss.
Has a nice sound, not to loud, a little softer than a Jaws, a bit crisp on the top, but not ear ringing. I am trading my 11 in on a 13, I am going to keep my can, so I and two others who are getting 13 can do some real world testing, ( seat of the pants any way). We will be running at about 5000ft and can try it on all three sleds (assuming the can from an 11 will still work on a 13) I just hope the fit is better on the 13 then it was on my 11, it was about a 1/4 " to tall.

hey boootz....Im in Mandan...give me your address so I can drive up there and cut that loud piece of **** right off your sled

Not sure your can will fit the 13's polaris changed the can mounts on the 13's and I dont think any can will work.:face-icon-small-fro

Interesting, I did not know of any change to the mounting area, will have to give Scott at HPS a call and check on it.

Neither . . . leave it stock.

My vote is for leaving it STOCK! Loud sleds are annoying, at best! Someone once said "the louder the sled, the lower one's maturity level". Food for thought.

We have enough trouble with the noise issue as it relates to us keeping our riding areas open. All we need is another "arrow" in the quiver of the Greenies to try and shut more riding areas down.

Just something to think about. A word to the wise is usually sufficient, but sometimes i wonder, as it seems this "louder can" subject comes up every season. :-/

Cheers!

Does putting a can on the sled void warenty? i got a 2013 sba coming and wanting to get the jawz can as i could careless who thinks its to loud frankly the people i ride with all have loud cans

i think it could, all dependes on your dealer and how anal he is. best bet is to keep the stocker and put it on if you have to take it in. if your dealers cool then no big deal, mine wont care but some might

I would agree, it will probably be a problem at some. Like bootz1981 said, keep the stock one around a change it out.

mite be the video sounds from the camera or youtube, mine sounds completely different, mines way lower

Do we all agree the GGB can would be like the Jaws or is the Jaws still louder?
