Jackson Hole Results ?

The mountains around Alpine got pounded for days and the riding was sick! Somebody mentioned a Hillclimb was going on but I couldn't talk myself into staying when the riding was so good!

I don't know the details but I'm pretty sure Keith Curtis won King of Kings. As far as the individual classes go, I have no clue.......Sorry!

Keith Curtis - Polaris - Won Stock 600/700/800, Stock King of the Hill, King of Kings on his stock 800 Poo. Local Jackson racer Parker Brown posted a 56.?? sec run on his T800 mod. Claimed as the fasted time ever up the hill. I could dig around for more results, but those are the ones I remember.

the Cat boys that had the new 2009 M 1000 turbos (available for the public this fall) were pretty impressive!!

It wasn't Parkers sled there is only one person that can build a sled like that, Kirk Williamson. Very impressive sled and rider. Anyone know what broke in his king run???

Hillclimbs

Was in Jackson for the Hill climbs. Will be my last trip to them. First of all they searched all back-packs and womens purses for alcohol. Yes, I had to walk back 1-2 mile to where I was parked to leave my beer in the truck. You could buy beer there for $2.00 but the plastic cup was just a little bit bigger than a shot glass. You were not allowed to take any video or camera pictures on the hill. If they seen the flash your camara was confiscated. The cost of the motel rooms there jumped 50% for that week-end. But the price of diesel was 10 cents cheaper than in Pocatello ,that's was about the only good thing about the trip. I know that the Hill-climbs won.t miss me but I won,t miss them or the town of Jackson Hole either. Just my .02 worth.

I had a great time in Jackson, & thanks to everyone who stopped & saw us at the SnowBigDeal tent!

I was there spending money and wishing I was one of the lucky guys that brought my sled, would have rather been ridin. But I was wondering if there was a brand that dominated? Looks like Polaris from what I read above. By the way you could take still pictures on the hill but no video.

Didn't catch any results in there. Did anyone else??? You could start this back up in Fouled Plug if you like.

joking..... Jackson Hole + World Championships + rich granolas fighting for the same hotel rooms = More expensive
the diesel issue is a little wierd though. I for one (only being there Sunday) was extremely glad not to see any fellow racers get carted off the hill by Ski Patrol like last year.

Guess you don't travel much do you? Most major league stuff whether it be haydays or MLB or F-1 and Nascar, there are rules and of course they want to profit from concession sales and so on to say the least. I don't see anything wrong with it, especially with the inspections, who knows if your not some crazy tree hugger that is carring a piece? Also why did you have to walk all the way back to the truck becaue of the beer, just leave it on the curb or in the garbage? The time you walked and the energy you spent walking back to the truck for sure wasn't worth it.

I find the camera thing a bit odd, if you don't sell the pictures there shouldn't be any problem with it, you could easily turn your flash off and hope for the best by adjusting some settings.

I can assure you that yes he does travel, He has not missed the hill climbs in Jackson one time since they started, nor has he missed any snocross or drags in idaho, montana, Utah or wyoming, Just because we are from Idaho doesn't mean were tree huggers, Personally, I use them for traction. I think the point he was making is that why do they have to gouge you like they do. $2 for a shot glass full of beer. Ill bet they really made a killing on that. And tell me this, If you just spent your hard earned money on something would you leave it on the curb, for someone to steal, or throw it in the garbage. Probably not.

Sorry

Sorry to hear you wont be back. I'm a part of the Snow Devils and it is not our fault about the beer. The town does not want us to serve beer at all and we have to get the cups approved by the town. As for the picture taking thing I will bring that up at the next meeting.

Thanks ^^^^ Back to the original.........Anymore results from anybody, or is there a link to somewhere that might have them? I think Polaris took the top 3 spots in 700 Imp. (i think it was improved) but nobody cleared the top. Also, Ski-doo took the top four spots in one of the 1000 cc classes (AC took the #5 spot, but nobody made the top there either. Usually someone pays enough attention and posts all the results on here by the same night.
