It's time to get behind Trump!

Every time I hear or read a statement like ^^^ I want laugh and cry at the same time.

You need to get past that mindset.

Votes are a lot like snowflakes...each one alone is totally insignificant, but when they all get together they change the world.

The whole electoral system does indeed need to be modernized.
I cannot see a good argument why we have not move to a "popular vote" system.

Until this year, I had no idea how crooked the primary system is.
Time for change my friends.

Gavin is great fun to watch... the only guy that I've seen, so sexist, that he made Sean Hannity cringe on his own show.

Shock jock for sure and self proclaimed comedian... and as entertaining to watch as his ex business partner Bill Maher.

I have to take anything that guy says with a grain of salt. His extreme comments register well with an extreme segment of our population which is where he derives his income.

I have yet to see him debate anyone worthy.

He is good with the comedic delivery, but at the same time his points are indeed valid. Actually that what makes the best comedy content is when something is true. If the points he made were BS, the bit wouldn't even be funny.

People say the same about Bill Maher.

So go figure.

Because our founding fathers were much smarter than those who would have a popular vote decide the presidency, that would be called democracy, as Franklin pointed out after the constitution " A republic, Madam, as long as you can keep it" In a democracy 51% rules and you no longer have a rule of law you have a rule of the mob!

I agree with the spirit of the original intent.
However the political hierarchy (on both sides) have strayed far away from the original intent.
I think it is downright criminal when delegates can ignore the will of the voters and cast their votes in the opposite direction.

I think either will screw it up, and I would rather a democrat do it, than a "republican". I would also say the witch getting in will give the republicans a much better chance for 2020. Still no way in he** I could vote for that waste of air. Might just have to sit this one out, because honestly I don't care if I get the bullet to the front or the back of the head, just get it over with already.

... Still waiting for Trump to come out and say he's a liberal and this is all a joke on the GOP.

Trump certainly has a polarizing personality that tends to turn people off.
I get that.
Bot those of you who are against him, can you tell us why, specifically?
Can you list an example where Clinton or Sanders would perform better?

Im not gonna go real deep with this, I honestly don't know a lot about politics, and really haven't followed an election closely whatsoever until this one, as I have been too young to care, but I think this is an important one. Holy run on.

For me it was really hard to watch Trump in debates and understand why anyone would support him. He was clueless. He turned every question into a personal attack, and there was never any substance to what he said. He seemed very "uneducated" whenever foreign policy was brought up, but was always the first to talk chit about other leaders around the world and how "weak" they are.

He claims to be able to unite people. Maybe he can but he sure got off on the wrong foot with it. He has divided this country in the last year about as bad as obama has since he decided it was a good idea to make blacks believe they are still underprivelidged and descriminated against. Racism was as close to gone as it was ever gonna be when obama got into office. Well he CHANGEd that, and Trump and his supporters are just feeding that fire.

I don't think Trump is wrong about alot of what he says but there are some things that you just cant say when trying to become POTUS. PC or not PC you cant say things about entire religions, genders, and disabled people like he has. A little respect and knowing when to STFU goes a long way.

Back to the debate talk. I think he changed his mind on atleast one thing he said in each debate, the next morning he would be on a talk show and try to unsay or reverse what he said because after the debate he realized or was told that "hey you really sounded like a liberal for a minute there" or "you just cant say that".

He is making alot of lofty promises (everyone does, I know). And people are really believing them. He is not gonna send 14,000 illegals over the border each day for the next 2 years while constructing a wall, Im sorry its just not going to happen.

He is a business man, a VERY SUCESSFUL ONE AT THAT and always has been. He didnt get to where he is by helping everyone else out. Everything he has been doing his whole life has been for one person. Himself.

He does have a shakey past with his ex wife (wives maybe?) and some failed businesses (trump university). He has done some morally wrong things. Hilary has too, I know.

I dont think Hilary or Bernie would be good for this country (or any liberal ever for that matter) but I'm pretty nervous about a Trump presidency. I REALLY hope that he gets in and does wonderful things, that would be best case scenario. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

On a side note- Does it confuse anyone else that I can put a chip in Roofus and track to within a few feet of his location with my cell phone, yet we manage to lose an airplane...AN AIRPLANE, every 6 months?

Worth another topic, but do you have any idea how big this earth is? It's actually precisely 196.9 million square miles. On top of that about 70% of the earth is constantly moving (water). In that water an object will sink as well. So there are about 332,519,000 cubic MILES of ocean water.

So yeah... how can we lose a plane?
