For those who are against trump, can you provide an explanation why? I don't want the "because he is a closet liberal!" "Because he is racist!" Or other general terms like that. I want to hear specifics. I realize that trump has his weak points; I believe he is weak in foreign policy. But I think the man would be terrific for our economy and holds an understanding of the world trade market that nobody in Washington currently has. I believe that you can also say that he knows how to surround himself with others (read his cabinet) which will fill in the gaps in his own weaknesses. Nobody can do it alone and a sign of a successful leader or business man often hinges on that individuals ability to delegate and surround him/herself with good people. That's my opinion anyway.

Trump will get slaughtered in the General Election. The guy is an idiot. He has ran four companies into bankruptcy. He has lost billions of dollars. He has no idea what working America goes through. Worst Presidential Candidate in History.

...So you think Bernie "I never got a job until I was 42" Sanders knows better?

How about the career politicians Hilary and Cruz?

At least Trump has some real life experiences. Don't you think having gone through bankruptcies he can relate to struggling business owners? Or that he knows a thing or two about a good business having billions of dollars worth of real estate?

Care to share why you think he would be good for the economy? I have my own theory, but I will hold it for now.

I think you are right though that he will have a strong cabinet of people who are qualified for the positions instead of handing them off to cronies.

Care to share why you think he would be good for the economy? I have my own theory, but I will hold it for now.

I think that his understanding of business and the world stage when it comes to trade is going to be, in general, very good for the American economy. He knows how to create jobs. I have heard he is going to cut funding to agencies like the EPA, which, lets face it is a job killer in it of itself. Now I don't disagree with some regulation to keep our resources sustainable but you reach a point of diminishing returns. in the 70s we had basically 0 regulation when it came to environmental issues. We have cleaned up let's say 90% of pollution with X amount of regulation. Now when we get after that last 10%, we are killing jobs and spending asinine amounts of money to try to achieve 100%.

He wants to lessen the burden on taxing corporations which will encourage business to stay in the US instead of outsourcing overseas. I know the left's theory is to tax them because they are rich and can afford it, but the reality is that they provide middle class jobs for the rest of society. Top down economics.

Many have hammered trump saying "well didn't you ship jobs overseas?" Of course he did! As the owner of a corporation that's obviously becoming more and more the better decision when you can make more money off of your product by doing it, primarily because of being taxed to death. That's just smart business.

As a whole, his perspective on business and taxes will be much needed in today's economy.

I think you are correct for the most part but I just have a few pieces to add. First, I hope that he doesn't cut taxes(overall) because the country needs revenue to grow. I think he will hopefully lean out the government and reduce funding to defense contractors, getting rid of useless oversight, and even stop funding all of the stupid soft science research that gets funding on projects that will never have any benefit to society.

The one tax law I think he will change is the one regarding taxation of money made in foreign countries which I think right now is unfair and prevents businesses from returning the wealth back to the USA. Apple alone has over 100 billion dollars it can't use in the United States because of the hit it would take paying taxes for it. I don't think it should be removed entirely, but perhaps lower it enough to make companies willing to do it.

Everyone focuses on this, he ran 4 companies in the ground... no once says anything about the 515 other companies he current owns/runs.

4 failures out of 515 companies..not too bad in my book.

Donald Trump brags about how well his businesses have fared in bankruptcy. And in fact, no major U.S. company has filed for Chapter 11 more than Trump's casino empire in the last 30 years.

Actually... Those "4 failures" ARE a big deal... and should not be looked at lightly IMO...Should it sway your mindset on who should be president... only you can answer that... but don't sweep it under a rug because it might be uncomfortable to acknowledge.

These were 'strategic' bankruptcies that he is proud to say 'it's just good business' .... that he could have avoided and honored his debts, from his private corporation, to the hard working people and companies he owed that money to. Just because the law allowed him to do it, doesn't make it right.

Now, I'm not supporting one side or another here... I'm just trying to look at the facts so that I can make a decision based on the rational situation at hand.

And this one from The Wall Street Journal .... Definitely NOT an anti-capitalist "news rag"

In 1990, Mr. Trump, though known publicly as financially savvy and very rich, was in deep financial trouble. He and his companies owed $3.4 billion and couldn’t make the payments. That posed the risk of lenders seizing his hotels, casinos and other assets.

Worse, $830 million of the debt carried his personal guarantee. Creditors, if they wanted, could force him into personal bankruptcy.

He survived. Today he is a billionaire, who cites his wealth and success as a reason that, as president, he could make America “great again.” Mr. Trump has no government record to weigh. One way to gauge the kind of president he might be is to examine his business career, and particularly how he dealt with its biggest crisis.

Those who entrusted him with their funds or labor, including employees, vendors and bond and stockholders, often fared less well. Taj Mahal contractors were told to take less than they were owed. Workers lost their jobs.

And from one of the most respected Conservative publications... The National Review.

Donald does create jobs...but they are NOT all for Americans... and in some cases are single digit percentage of Americans.

Donald Trump Turned Down 94.4 Percent of American Job Applicants, Applied for Hundreds of ‘H’ Visas Instead

There will be many articles printed about him in the coming months.
Some to make him look good, some to make him look bad.
Keep in mind that the authors will be serving an agenda.
I wouldn't want anyone to make up their mind from an article written by someone with an agenda.

Unless pictures of him surface with horns & a tail, he will get my support.

The 'agenda' of the Wall Street Journal and especially The National Review Clearly supports a conservative/Republican "track"... when the NR has doubts about the winner of the GOP primaries... I DO listen as this is a hard truth to print, from a conservative perspective.

Mafesto... read the articles, from these GOP supporting publications, from top to bottom... if you haven't already... and tell us where there are 'holes' in each article 'to push an agenda'

Now that u have posted some true and negative articles about Trump, how about u post some true and negative articles about Trumps competitors.

Then find some positive articles about all of the above individuals and post them.

That will help make a better informed decision.

"It's time to get behind Trump!"

I vote for someone, or not, based on their merits or lack thereof... and not because I hate or like the opponent.

A few minutes of searching can find plenty of dirt on all of our poor options in the presidential run....AND plenty of support.

As stupid as it may sound. I'm just happy to NOT have a career politician as a republican choice for president. The whole system is Fawked right now. Can't really think of one good aspect of the American government that is supposed to be "of the people and for the people". It's all backwards, all messed up. Any one that wants to reverse all the BS that Obama has put forth, I'm more then happy to hope for change In the exact opposite direction that Obama has left In his acid wake.

Hillary or Trump?

Still sounds like voting for lesser of evils. Haha

Voting in politicians is like a lot of things in life, its not always about choosing what u want but choosing the lesser of the 2 evils.

I think I said it earlier, but even the GOP is scared of Trump.
This goes a long way in making me comfortable that he is the right choice for 2016.

Trump could be a good President, he could be yet another poor one.
Honestly none of us know the answer to that.

But we do indeed know that Hillary would be another very poor choice for President.

A vote for anyone other than Trump is a vote for Hillary.
Even not performing your civic duty of voting is essentially a vote for Hillary.

Anyone who does not vote has zero right to complain or criticize.

Every time I hear or read a statement like ^^^ I want laugh and cry at the same time.
