Yes, x2 actually

Sorry very much for your loss, Just lost my dog 1 week ago today:(

Hope you feel better, just remember all the good times you had with him, time will take care of the rest...

Ace and Rosie

18 yrs old....hip gave out....otherwise fine...had the vet come by the house and help him on his way...aussie shepherd....went with me everywhere including flying a small plane in the mountains, in the blind during goose hunts, cool, quiet type....could sniff out a tennis ball anywhere, great pal....then the female, 14 yrs old, died from missing him.

MDD---Lost my budy-- Yukons Last Buck (Siberian Husky)--I had him from the time he was weined. He went everywhere with me--even work alot of the time.

Took me 2 years before I was ready for another dog. I had the boys hide everything that would remind me of him. It was real tough.

I think I waited to long to enrich my life agian with a new buddy.

It is tough!! Hang in there bud.

H20SKE...

Very sorry to here about your loss, I lost one of my springer's when he was still young due to a stupid accident and it hit hard.

went through it last spring when we had all the dog food poisoning stuff going on. Went out to work one day and our border collie wouldnt come with cause he wasnt feeling good. Two days later he was dead. Its hard but just remember the times you had and it will get better eventually

yup part of the same picture here ...not a good deal :(

Your pets become part of your family. It is always hard to see em go.
I had this stupid stray cat. Just kind of walked in and stayed. I tossed his azz out the door I don't know how many times.

16 years later he died of old age.
Used to bring me home birds. Usually dead, sometimes not. Nothing like coming home and having to chase a live, scared black bird around the house trying to shoo em out the door.

sorry to hear dean.. was it just old age or was he sick???

i dread the day i have to tell you guys about losing my psycho dog... hes friggin nuts but, hes my bud.. evryday i pull in th edriveway from work, i can see him laying there thru the frosted glass... he just waits for me..

man, thats a tough deal.... like h20 said: waited to long to enrich his life with a new buddy.. when your ready, get another pal. thats what this one would have wanted..

I've always wondered why god made mans best friend have a life span of 12 to 16 years average. Seems like a cruel thing to do but it's part of life. My little buddy is only 1 1/2 now, but I'm still not looking foward to his time coming. Sorry for your loss. Dan

We have a 13 year old Pyrenees that I know our days are limited with, She gets more treats & neck/ear rubs which she really enjoys & that is all we can do.
Funny thing is Taz was my dog untill our baby girl come home from being born, Every night she would get in bed when I went to sleep. When the wife come to bed she would play growl when the wife moved her to get in bed. Once the baby come home she never got back in bed with us & always stays in the babys room.

I/we have had many pets but this one is going to hurt awfull when she goes. Even though she ate our couch, chair & 2 christmas trees when she was younger ;)

Best of luck & very sorry for your loss!

It sucks

Sorry to hear about your loss.

We had a scary pet situation recently. Some a-hole here in my neighborhood poisoned 7 dogs. I live in a very small town and it made the San Antonio and Houston news. This dipsh!t put some toxin in meatloaf and fed it to the dogs when they were outside and the owners weren't around. Three of my neighbors lost pets and one of the neighbors who lost their dog picked up the half eaten meatloaf (which was subsequently handled by his wife & young child). They all ended up in the hospital b/c the poison seeped into their skin through the handling of it. Let me tell you, people around here went EFFING BALLISTIC! There was a huge public outcry...why? Because people love and care about their pets as though they are their own children.

Pets are family members, plain and simple. Whenever we experience the loss of one, it hurts. I dread the day when my two girls leave our family. I don't care if you fashion yourself as a tough guy or not, losing a pet hurts.

My condolences in your loss. I feel for ya man.

I still carry an old tennis ball in my truck that my Cocker Spaniel used to fetch till my arm wore out cause she never did. That was 15+ years ago and still not a week goes by that I don't think of her.
I've had some other good dogs but none quite like that one. She would ride on the gas tank of my dirt bike in the damedest rough trails and rarely get tossed. Also a hunting fool.
I sure miss her SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS!!!

God put dogs on this earth to show Men how to love as unconditionally as their best friend does us. it also teaches us how much of a pansy arse we really are. I would not have it any other way. I still miss my old German Shorthair who loved me as much as I do him. Still hurts eight years later. Just think about what we would miss in our lives without those critters.

thanks for all your kind words guys. I still have a great dane and a
pointer mix. they have been getting a lot of attention lately.

they wander around the house looking for the lab. it breaks my heart
they miss him too.

When I had to put down my lab/pit mix, it was hard. I got the dog in college and it went everywhere with me, camping, moving to an apartment, and finally a move out west. When she had a brain tumor and was put down, I cried and my wife had to drive me home.

It's a little different now that I have a child. We have a dog and a cat and love them both, but I don't think it would be nearly as hard when they go, and it may be sooner than I think as my 8 year old shepherd/boxer mix is having problems.
