Is this the best mountain sled ever?

I think its pretty common knowledge Polaris benchmarked the XP much more then the M sled. I would agree that the PRO handles much more like an M sled then an XP but that is it.

Oh my god you guys are high! what are you trying to show me with your pictures? that the headlights are similar? the Pro is NOT a Rider forward POS like a ski doo! period. Show the two side by side and look where the steering post is, the front ski spindle bolt and the rear skid mounting bolt. THEY ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE.
Now take a M series side by side and look at those three points lined up. they are all 3 the same except the steering post is 1" further forward.
Again like i said above the PRO RMK is the best sled going right now period.
But that is because they made an M series and made it even better!

The M and the Pro handle almost identical. The Pro is better cause of the narrow body (staying out of the snow on steep sidehills) 2. the weight being 30lbs less, and the debatable 3rd. They have a sway bar!

Chris Burandt would not leave Cat to go help make anything, Anything that even resembled a SKI DOO. SKI DOOS are a joke and cant do anything that an M series or a PRO can do.

all those photos show is that the plastic is similar, line up a XP Pro and M with the plastics stripped off, if your a honest man you will see that who copied who

After riding with a 1/2 dozen race gas turbo M's and RMK's over the weekend....I realized the stock power thing is really a stupid arguement. 5 or 10hp either way who really cares. Buy what you are most comfortable on, because you are never going to be king of any hill on power alone without a turbo setup these days.

So you saw at some hill all day and beat some other sled's mark by 10 feet or vice versa....then someone with a boosted version shows up and wheelies through your marks while eating a burrito, did it really matter?

You guys are being ridiculous, the pro is a direct copy of the m. They took all the good from the m and made it even better! It is the best sled by far.
Why do you think they took burandt on? He rode an m and got to make a new m called the pro with everything that the m lacked. Anyone who knows anything about these two sleds will tell you this.
The pro is the best and by using the m they attained that lable this year, best mt. Sled by far

its a great sled ya! but i havent seen it do anything spectacular yet? they do the same thing i ride them both of and on all day so i find them similar my opin!

Not me. I hope they go azz backwards and pizz off all of the dedicated M lovers so I can unload mine without taking a beating and snowcheck another Pro.

I have road the pro several times this yr. and it is a nice sled. But IMO stock to stock there is not the big diff. that the hype had it made out to be. Mind you I am a polaris brand loyal rider also. Still like the 09 10, I Will won't to see what happens with the evolution of some more bolt on. This sled might be something great with one more season of tweaking.

It seems to me that the pro may be the best all around mountain sled ever built ! Maybe not the most powerfull,but aside from that I have to say it is crazy,I am almost 50 and just dont have the strengh I used to but this sled is so light feeling that several times a day it does things that just blow me away!Everyone you let ride it says "i got to get me one of those!".
Just wish I was 20 again so I could get the full potental of this thing.It seems that all the young guys are driving cats and doos cause all they care about is power.I cant imagine a younger guy that can really ride on one of these pros.

Dang Tom way to start a fight. As for the topic, I am a doo guy and really did like the feel of the pro. I will ride one some more this wekend in McCall to hopefully get a little better feel for it. I will ride the etech demo sled and see what happens. The pro has really created a conundrem for me. Is the etech worth the extra $ ? Don't know. Both great sleds. Oh yeh the old school 07 doo with a slp kit and a 174 x 2.5 does quite well against the pro and the xp. Dosen't handle nearly as well as either of them, but oh well. I know it is not fair, but ride what ya got. The rest will sort itself out in the process.
