Is there a fix for the Pro's brakes?

I've ridden a few Pros and they all seem to have the same braking issue. As you start to apply the brake very little happens, with a little more pressure you start to here a chatter, immediately after the chatter they lock up. They seem to be all or nothing. Is there a cure or do you have to figure out how to make the best of it?

seems that if everyone you have rode has the same feel maybe its not the brakes that need to be fixed:lol:

would think someone looking for an answer to a problem would title their post and subject a little differently...

your post seems to indicate this was a common problem the pros were all having, since the time it was originaly posted, which i think you stated was december, have you found a solution to the problem or does every pro you ride still have the same brake issue? have not seen one other post or mention of such an issue a full 2 months later.

I've seen it in the past files... On 12/29... traffic was high on these forums... It probably just got burried.

It poped up yesterday because Scott saw it... commented on it which brought it ttt.

Yeah, his post has been here since December....I just finally decided to answer it after I got a chance to ride production models.

I've ridden two pre-productions last spring and 2 production models this past weekend.

Mine were too tight out of the box. It took two hands and the best leverage you could get to set the park brake in the trailer on the first click. Sometimes took 2 people. After 600 miles I can finally almost set it with one hand. And I'm no mama's boy. (Please don't tell my mom I said that).
I thought by now the discs would be worn down enough that the brakes wouldn't be on slightly all the time but they don't wear too fast. Noticed yesterday in the shop that they still have enough pressure to lock the track up right after I let off the gas when it is up in the air. Was going to try and bleed some pressure off or something today but didn't get too it. Are yours maybe just too tight from the factory like mine. Not a big deal, just doesn't take much more pressure at all to lock them up. I like the brakes. My favorite so far. They are definitely grabbers and I cant imagine them ever getting weak.

take yours in, have the dealer pull the mastercylinder apart, i bet its either miss machined or the piston seal lip is damaged, its not releasing the caliper all the way so it has a light drag...some have found just tearing them down ,cleaning and reasssembly is enough to fix them too....

Makes total sense. Could very well be. Sure seems odd that it is still so tight. Thanks for the tip I will. Action Motor has been great and would be glad to check it out. Just keep forgetting to have them look at it.
