Is the WPSA Folding !!

I think another thing two is if local fans come out and as mentioned before...

A) They usually have no idea which class is on the track
B) Most of these people come out to see the high flying and fast paced racing from the pro class because as a fan, most do not want to watch beginner classes etc...Too slow and boring for them as a fan.

A lot of things need to be changed, that is for sure. I hope they or anything organization can really step it up, no offense to the ice oval guys, but I do not want to be racing ice ovals until I am too old to take the beating in snocross.

Website is not working again today, I was on it yesterday printing out the yearend standings for C&A winners circle awards. Glad I did it yesterday!

They made an annoucement in their website yesterday that ATV tour is canceled and they are ceasing operations
I'd assume this would include sno-x
This should open the door for ISOC, don't know if ISOC is planning any regionals though
Should help out the "grass roots" circuits like our (IRACE) that are trying to do what they should have been doing to keep sno-x alive:
1) Affordable racing
2) Fun, friendly atmosphere
3) Challenging yet safer tracks
4) One day events
5) LISTEN TO RIDERS!!!
Too bad they couldn't make it work out, the TV coverage was great and the OEM's supported them

IRACE I'm a little confused, you say this will help your circuit, how was WPSA hurting circuits like yours. It's going to hurt small teams like ours that used the WPSA Nationals as a way for our sponsors to see the sport on TV and relate better to what we are doing. Even if it was only a couple races in a year it was beneficial for us to be able to compete on a National level. You can't find that kind of competition in the "Grass Roots" circuits. Just my .02

They didn't hurt our series. If they aren't racing anymore we should draw more riders.
While at this point you can't get the recognition like racing at a national there isn't a lack of competition... last year at one race we had Kafkas, Bauer and Levi LaValle race with us.
At any given race there is very talented Semi-pros racing with us, many also race nationals.

I'm not slamming the ability of the competition, just the numbers that show up at all regional levels. That is what the Nationals had. You knew there would be a large amount of riders in all classes. Even though those numbers have been down as well. That helped create great competition. Our numbers this year where the lowest in years I think because of the high cost of fuel and the economic down turn. I think everything runs in cycles and hopefully this will be as close to the bottom as we have to get before all the circuits turn things around. I do appreciate what you go through to promote your circuit and snox racing in general. It can be a thankless job. In the end it's all worth it for the few that thank you. Good luck this off season.

There is a new group taking over.

Any word on who the new group is?

I've heard ISOC is looking to take over and also that some of the big sno-x teams are trying to get something together

Should be a challenge for someone to get the national circuit together by next season and some regionals.........I know the regionals here in Wisc. were scratching for tracks as many tracks that held regionals couldn't make ends meet. On a good note all of our tracks at least broke even with us last year
