Is it worth a possible divorce?!?

Alright boys and girls. So, I bought a 2008 Dragon 700 163" last year. Love the sled. I put a Carl's custom clutch set up, dropped the gearing to 19/42, put the '09/'10 front end on it after crashing, fire n ice vents, and an SLP pipe and can on it.

I haven't ridden a pro yet but everyone I've talked said the difference is like going from the edge to the IQ. Well I have a local Pro for sale here and the oppurtunity to purchase it but MY WIFE IS PISSED that I even brought it up. She didn't tell me I couldn't buy it but she is... well... I don't think she'd really divorce me but she said I could stay at my brother's house for a bit if I buy the sled.

Is it worth it?

Doesnt sound like a divorce but a really s****y week. Just dont get mad at her if she goes out and buys something that you think is outrageous.
Man am I glad that I dont have to ask permission to buy things. I would always be in the dog house in that case.

Sounds like you have Your Sled already dialed in.. Just Keep it and RIDE it

And ur Money to to able to ride when u want..

Yes, i love my pro.. But if i would of rode one before i bought the dang thing.. i would still have 12 Large in a shoe Box! For Fun Money!!

HA HA HA... I heard a story the other day that went kind of like this:

"Once upon a time there was a prince and he asked a beautiful princess, "Will you marry me?" and the princess said "No." and the prince lived happily ever after, and he got to buy cool sh*t and go out with his buddies whenever he wanted and snowcheck a Pro RMK and he had a sweet boat and all his friends thought he was f**kin cool and he went to titty bars and he highmarked the best climbs and his little brother looked up to him and he got to keep all his money and he never had to pay child support and could fall asleep on the couch watching sled dvd whenever he wanted . . . THE END

or something like that.

After thinking about for a good part of the day and then going out the shop and standing on my dragon and leaning back and forth and making sled sounds for about 10 minutes I decided I can ride the Dragon atleast one more year.

ha ha

Thanks for the advice guys.
Cory

Tell her for not getting it she owes you big time, and I mean like everyday. She will right the check herself. lol

HA HA.. yeah no kidding, I realized after I asked her yesterday that I probably could have bought the sled and kept it covered up out in my shop and she wouldn't even have know that I had it until this winter... even then she probably wouldn't even notice that it was a different sled! ha ha

The problem that nobody has pointed out is that in the event of divorce she is going to get the sled!:face-icon-small-fro Then what do you have other then a bad attitude~ Her attorney will get the rest of money and you'll be left sucking your thumb and wondering why you listen to people on snowest!

Here is a solution

Ride like wind...in the event your IQ RAW should meet a tree or rock then you can get a PRO with the insurance claim. Problem solved....(if you live)

Also note when you come down to ride with me I'll ruin your day by letting you ride a really really special PRO. :face-icon-small-ton

Did that before. Wife came out in the garage and saw four sleds. She asked "when did we get that one"? My response " oh, we've had that one for a while". she turned around and walked in the house. LOL

I would have paid admission to see the look on her face after you saying that...

Rob> So what you're saying is I need to hit another tree like I did last year and instead of putting a new front end on it just total it and buy the pro? ha ha... it was funny because I was going to have to call you and say "Hey Rob, I accidentally put a set of Better Boards on my IQ this week and now I need another set for the Pro I just bought! ha ha"

yeah I've done my best to stay off the Pro so far but I think I'll have to take you up on that offer. How do you explain that to the wife:

"Well babe, I just can't explain it, I have to have one! If you rode it you'd understand..." ??? ha ha

Kinda in same situation so I'm just going to play stupid and ask for forgiveness and not b**ch we she buys her things she don't need.

Oh ya for the turbo I bought for it that'll remain TOP SECRET under the hood!:face-icon-small-ton

On the bold.

You put the new sled in your bud's name.

Isn't that what REAL friends are for??

Still in consideration... :face-icon-small-win

Sounds like a win win to me. You get a new sled and a week away from the wife hanging out with the boys.

Truth be told, I did have to ask my wife before I bought my Pro, it took her all of 3 seconds to say yes. If she had a problem, I wouldn't have bought it.
