Hey guys, just putting my motor back in, and just wondering if I should hook up my slp torque arm again. I just got my motor back from indy dan, which now has the tm3, and I did the comp fusion motor mounts. What do you guys think??

idealy, since you got the best crank and motor mounts on the market..there is no reason to use the torque stop IMO..some guys still do, mainly for peice of mind...but if i had those goodies, i probably wouldnt use it again...

i would sell it cheap to guys that need then

Compfusion recommends to try it without first and then add later if you want to.

Wich would be ME. I'm tight on money right now but really would like one for my sled :D

I wouldn't hesitate to reinstall it. Anything you can doo to keep that shaker in place is a good thing.

Dont do it....Ask Indydan himself....he will say no...he told me not to do it as it puts to much stress on the mounts/bulkhead...and i just brought me sled to him for clutch servicing. Just to let you know...

I have a SLP torque stop. I can understand your aguement BUT adding stress to onther area while reducing stress elsewhere is a good thing. As long as the new area being stressed can handle it. IMHO it can handle the new stress / force.

Who here can say a SLP torque stop buckled your frame, caused a misalignment, damaged motor mounts, ate a belt?

Disperse of engine movement is a good thing.

Don...I see your point...but how many people have had bad mounts? bad front crossmembers? Cracked intake boots? A lot of this movement has been added to the "chassis" of sled making things on this sled more problems then its worth when adding the torque arms/push arms. I beleive the energy transfer from the vibration in the first place is a cover for one...and exposes a completely different area. But everybodys got there own theory and I respect anybodies and it should be accounted for....I just have a lot of respect for Indydan and his info as a lot of us do...IMO:beer;
