Is a 2012 better than a 2013?

I feel it depends how hard you ride, and how much crap you thnk you will hit. Polaris cant keep the carbon fibre from pulling out of the aluminum. weather its the a-arms or the overstructure. 12's are stronger, weigh a bit more and they're by no means bulletproof either but glue will not hold carbon into aluminum on a hard hit.

oh and polaris warranting any is like pulling teeth

a arms are steel tubes into aluminum ends. I've never seen a tube pull out of the upper but I have seen them break

By far the 13' impressed me the most out of all my pros. I have a 14' this year and hope it impresses me even more! I say go for the 13', and get the 14' belt. I personally have ~1400 miles on my 13' and its original drive belt. I did install a 12' steel driveshaft before it hit the snow though... Anyways as everyone has stated, it's lighter, snappier, and the most fun outta the box sled I have ever ridden.

You'll be happy with either one but id go 13' it's best true what everyone says about it being snappier and having a crisper throttle response when I get on my friends 13' I can tell a difference over my 12' don't worry about all the problems you'll be fine .

I've messed around with 2011,2012 and my 2013. The 13 does seem to be more responsive. I had 2 QD belts go...here is a vid of the 1st one that went just so you have an idea of what kind of riding I was doing. Keep in mind the day before I had a situation where I thk I skipped the belt.

Well you know what they say, get it from the horse's mouth. I asked CB if he was going to chain cases and he said, "Nope, I like what I gain with the belt drive".

By the way, I have lost one belt on a really bad landing (also bent the rails). My dealer took care of it that night under warranty. I also lost my chain case in my '11 Pro. Had to disassemble 35 miles out and get towed in with no brakes. I wished I had a belt drive at that moment. Carrying an extra belt seems a lot easier to me.

I am sure CB is not going to go on the record and say that there is problems with his sponsors product! I am sure the problem has been addressed.

I own an 11 that has been great and feels just like a 12 IMO.

Rode a 13 last year and though it was noticeably better all around. Boards, seat, snappier motor/mapping, throttle setup. The tweaks over a 12 seem small but overall ad up to a better ride.

the 12 motor felt better than the 11, the 13 better than the 12, the 14 i'm sure will feel better than the 13. same motor feels better and better every year:)

As I sold the cat and going to a pro; wondering if a 12 would have less issues than a 13.

K, if you were in the market for a turbo four stroke would you still buy a m1100t with all you have seen with the belt blowing issues?

Cause as far as i can tell all polaris and ski-doo guys think all polaris 800s blow in 1200 miles.

That being said, there may be a few that blew qd belts but alot didnt, you dont hear about the guys that are trouble free, just the whiners.

Get the 13

I also had an 11, 12 and now a 13 and the 13 is a much better sled. I have not had any issues wuth the drive shaft or the QD but this year I changed the QD to the TKILLC belt drive that uses a Gates belt and a tensioner. I changed the QD so I could gear the sled down. I think you will be very happy with the 13. Great Sled. :present:

Buying a 12 with warranty myself, anything happens I'll get a new motor and put in the BMP or RKTek fix:)
