As I sold the cat and going to a pro; wondering if a 12 would have less issues than a 13.
Own both man! I'd take a 13 over a 12 any day man. They really do feel lighter and snappierHaven't had an issue with my 13! They are super fun sleds man

My '13 seems to have better snap than my '11 (I know you are asking about the '12). The boards are amazing and I like the belt drive. It got bad press because some belts went. But the number was low for the amount of sleds sold. I talked to Chris Burandt last Friday and he told me he lost 6 belts all year with 25 sleds. Those sleds are used like rental sleds getting a ton of usage.
Bottom line, I would buy a '13 again in a snap.
Interesting because his assistants claim they were losing belts constantly. Always packing several spares etc... Someone isn't giving the whole story!
Everyone i know (12 people that I can count maybe more) with a 13 that rides hard had at least one belt go if not more. The issues may have been exaggerated but there was definitely an issue. I would do a 13 hands down over a 12 but If I was spending my hard earned cash and didn't want to worry I would do a assault or rmk with chain case.
I really truly hope polaris has the belts figured out tho because I think its a good idea. Just has to be reliable before I will go back to it. I am so happy to be on a 14 assault and not have to deal with it this season.
Hands down the 13 is a more refined sled... lighter, excellent running boards, seat, engine improvements... If you dont like the QuickDrive... My thoughts on the Standard RMK Vs. The Pro....
BTW... The 14 is more refined than the 13wink)
