Irregular WOT Bog, TPS??

I filter as much of my fuel as I can for reasons seen in the attached picture.

Bits of metal, served up fresh from a fuel pump. That was collected from 5 gallons of premium, transferred from a race jug. So imagine a 1000 mile season, roughly 110 gallons.

I'm pretty meticulous and I'd like to think that has helped attribute to why I'm passing 1400 error free miles.

Fuel for thought.

I've been having some problem with a wot bog, I've been working on this for a couple of days, I think in my case it's coming down to the solenoid that controls the exhaust valves. More testing in the next two days.

So I got a solenoid off of a 12 down at the dealer today put it on and it ran perfect, put my solenoid back on ran like crap!

I think I found my problem!

bogs getting more frequent

I should clarify on my bog problem. It doesn't happen after getting it to full throttle. Mine falls on its face (and me too sometimes) coming from a small throttle opening and then pinning it. Sometimes the hesitation is immediate and sometimes its a split second later. Happened 25-30 times today during a 5 hr ride. It was more frequent earlier on but it never went away completely. Even happened as I was pulling into my yard at the end of the ride. No flashing icons or anything like that. I don't think e valve would come into play coming from a real low throttle situation, but I'm far from sure. When it doesn't hesitate it hits 8500 rpm almost immediately. Very snappy. Wish it was like that everytime. jdw1 when were you experiencing the bog?

My bog was at about 6800 but if you just accelerated smoothly it wouldn't happen, if you just punched it it would go to about 7000 and just hold, so my EV weren't opening if you just wanked on it, in all my reading I also learned that some throttle safety switches are bad, you can't bypass the TSS ether because there is a resistor in it I think.

Hope this helps

One thing I think I learned in all of this was, if it's not triggering a code it's more than likely something mechanical not electronic, did you dealer get a code out of it?

So I think I've got my bog issue solved....maybe. Got to thinking about the rev limiter issue, even tho my bog was almost immediate- which made me think the limiter wouldn't come into play- I was seeing 8500 ,really quickly, when it didn't bog. Looked to see what weights I had, which were 62s and switched them out for some 66s (which weighed out at 66.6 each) I am still hitting 8500 but not always and not as easily as before (it seemed like before I'd hit 8500 by just squeezin it to 3/4 throttle) BUT I HAVEN'T bogged since. SO another thing I was wondering now is how high an rpm will the tach show? And at what rpm does limiter kick in?

Your way over revn you need some 68 gram weights if not 70 especially if your tolling around in the flats, your dealer should have installed them for you. Your bog was the motor hitting the rev limiter and shutting down the sled.

My 14 pro 800 rmk all stock has the same bog when I hit the throttle hard and fast entering a hill running 7800-8000 rpm when bog doesn't occur it happens quite often and is very annoying sled has 400 miles and has had the bog for the last 150 miles

I have an 11 and same thing. Just put in new RKTEK pistons and replaced fuel filter and it didn't change a thing from the previous year. This was running the Ethanol plug. I switched over to the non ethanol plug and the number of occurences went down (same as before new top end.) Next day ran a can of Octane boost and the problem went away for two days of riding. Confused on what is causing it. Why would the non ethanol plug (advances timing) and Octane boost help? By the way, dealer is the one that told me to try running Octane boost.

For me it happens as soon as I'm WOT or about 1 to 3 seconds into a WOT. If I let out and flip it again, it takes right off.
