Inviting all sledders to West Yellowstone

Thanks for the info. How long do the races last during the day, if you buy tickets can you come and go during the day? Don't know how long of a stretch the wife and kids will want to be outside.

Purchase of a ticket allows you to come and go throughout the day. Racing should be over daily around 3:00 to 4:00 pm. There will be evening events at Bullwinkles West starting at 8:00pm both this evening and tomorrow evening.

We got you beat. We are now property owners in Island Park and plan to move there within 5 years! Then you can be the southern most member again!
Since we've had no reports of anyone trailering sleds on I-75, where do you fly out of and into?

:)

we fly tampa to idaho falls normally.. this year we flew into jackson hole. you can also fly into bozeman..

if the property values would go back up here like they were, i might be able to talk my wife into moving out west too.. but, since they suck right now, theres nothing to talk about..

Jackson to West is a Hell of a drive. Why not Idaho Falls or Bozeman?

Getting to West Yellowstone

Tampa to Jackson Hole, $250.
Tampa to Bozeman, everything you own!
Idaho Falls, not a good flight selection.
We've even flown into Salt Lake for $135 rt and done the 5 hour drive. All worth it!!!!!

Restaurants in West

Guys,

Besides Strozzies, where are the good places to eat? We usually hit up the BBQ joint (I forget the name) and the Iron Horse saloon. We won't go to Bullwinkles after we got sick from that horse****...anywhere else good?

I've always had good luck at Bullwinkles. Excellent food(maybe alittle pricey though). Try the Gusher, they have great pizza and sandwiches. For breakfast, the running Bear is the only place to be

Last time I ate at Bullwinkle's, the onion rings were cold and doughy...the burger was lukewarm at best. They made it right and comped us beer for the rough equivalent of what the food cost so I guess that worked out ok. At least the beer was cold!!

Might want to try the Three Bears haven't eat'en there in a couple of years use to have the best prime rib. There is also the rustlers roost kinda hit and miss on food there for me either really good or sh!tty. Kurt did you get the storm they were calling for?
See Ya Thursday D

Tampa to Jackson Hole, $250. and 15 hours door to door...
Tampa to Bozeman, everything you own! and fly all over the country before you get there...
Idaho Falls, not a good flight selection and pay out the azz...

either way you go, your basically screwed..... but, like floridasnow said, its worth it.. :)

Dan from Indy Specialties built me a 800 motor for my 03. He did the cases, crank, non valved cylinders and a high compression head. We also changed the helix and spring in the secondary. The motor was finished here in West by Darrin at the polaris shop. Dan and Darrin stayed in contact as the motor was assembled. I picked the sled up Friday afternoon and heat cycled it twice during the afternoon. The sled was warmed up Sat morning and rode like a rental the rest of the day. This sled did not miss a beat all day and ran FANTASTIC. I will report how this motor performs on a regular basis. This motor rocks and has all the power I need. If any one out there has a 800 and is concerned about the crank Dan is the person to get ahold of. To Dan at Indy Specialties a huge huge THANK YOU. To Darrin here in West a huge THANK YOU also. I am one happy camper...............:D

Woke to a steady snow this morning with around 8" overnight. There calling for an additional foot thru today. Totals from this storm could be 20 to 28 inches. We are in a winter storm warning from now thru midnight tonight......
