Interest In SE Idaho Forum ride

I'm in. Depending on the circuit schedule that will be a hit or miss weekend. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Just got back from the cabin on Henry's and things are looking pretty good. They really didn't get any more snow down low than Poky did, maybe 4", but Two Top, Jefferson, Lion's Head were socked in all weekend. It's getting close boys and girls.

I can maybe tag along, and would like to meet fellow SW'ers. Island Park has variety, so can accommodate different interest and skill levels. I know how to walk, chew gum and can start my own sled.

I'm "in."

Keep us posted.

What weekend are you guys planning this for? A group of us will be out in IP the week of Jan 17th-24th. Would be nice to meet some fellow SW'ers while were out in IP.

Bubba you can probably count Ben and I in. I might stay away from Jeff. with lots of people though. Blacks would be fun, or lots of other places.
ps, seen me up on campus lately? gotten quite a few good scares in with the gorilla suit. just too hard to take pics or vids in the dark!

That is loosley the date that has been mentioned.

I think it will prob be blacks canyon, since its more friendly to all levels.
Nope on the suit, I live down by porter and avoid campus as much as possible.

Sounds like fun. Keg Springs could be a good location too. I've had bad experience with large groups on the Black Canyon side, lost, tons of tours mingling, 4 jillion miles to wander away, not a ton af areas big enough for a large gang of riders. Keg Springs is easy to give directions to, it's a fairly defined area between drainages East and West, A marked Montana border to the North and Kilgore road to the South. Lots of powder usually, not a lot of spores, some tree riding, cornices, plenty of steep and a trail ride over to Herrimans for those that like trails. Oh ya-- and burgers at Boondocks! :p

add me

Since the snow is starting to fly, guess I better get the intro to this side of the state. Sounds like this could be a good way to meet some 'dockers and learn some of the terrain.

Depending on the scheduling you can count me in. It will be cool to alot more of this area since we rode the cr*p out of McCall, Trinity mtn and the west side of the state last year.

Let me know when and where,

Hauler

ps I'm in poky with a 4 place enclosed or 2 place open if anyone wants to share the diesel. :)

I'm only going to tell you guy this ONE TIME! if a guy by the stage name sledhauler 07 starts looking for riding ppls. Get a GOOD BACK DOC!! he just moved from boise to poki and I'm hear to tell you his sled weighs a TON! not to mention he is like 5'9" and 385# and talks more smack the a NY pimp.

FY!!!!!

I'll keep an eye on this and see how the timing works out for me.

I could see Black Canyon getting crowded with a lot of people, but it sure is nice riding.

Is that gorilla suit vented? Gore-Tex? Do you wear separate mittens or does it come complete with hands sewn in and sledding boots? I bet you don't need to wear a Tek-Vest.......

Sweeeeet.

mind your own side of the state

Thanks for the intro MOCO... not! everyone please disreguard the rantings a that frustrated cat rider. He is a well known patholigical liar and I have been on a diet this summer so I'm a svelt 305 now. Man, I thought I left that kinda smack talk behind when I moved...

Bubba700; we chatted briefly last year about meeting near Jefferson. If the plan falls together for the 17th or 18 of January I'm in. My group of buddies will be out there then to play. We're staying in West this year. Ponds or Lakeside would be good meeting places too, or even Shotgun!
