Interest In SE Idaho Forum ride

wish i could go,ill be up there 1/31-2/6. just wondering what is the easiest way to get to mt. jefferson?? ive never been to that area. is it willow creek off of centennial loop trail?? would love to find some new areas to ride

Sledhauler07, i am in poky, and am always up for a ride. I do most of my riding in the preston area. Just let me know once the snow starts to build up. Also there is a doo talk ride in January in the bear lake area.

Hey SPUD sorry it took awhile to reply... Looks like there are a few Poky guys on here so I'm sure we'll set up some riding if the snow ever comes. Drove thru IP on friday and there wasn't much snow. We did try to drive to cave falls and found some (less than a foot) up high but not enough to put a sled on.

I'm making a couple trips back to Boise area for work in DEC / JAN so hopefully the dates will line up for this little get together. I'm also interested in the Bear lake ride pending my schedule.

come on snow!

so where is the snow? man I was hoping to be riding by the 1st of dec but looks like it might be a little harder to do that this year. Keeps the days posted because I'll be in most likely depending on where we go and days. Anyone know where is the is enough snow. figure IP hasn't got a drop for quite some time and has been warm.

Hey im in Poky also and would love to meet up with some fellow Snowesters for some rides. Count me in on the IP ride, sounds like fun but the snow is still very slim up there. Keep us posted on the details Bubba, im willing to help with whatever i need to to make this happen.

SnoJo, Skyler & I would like to attend. We live just below the bench in Archer.
Keep us posted Bubba, look forward to finally meeting you..........

Everyone doo your snow dance!!!!!!!!

K, been sorta wrapped up in hunting, school and tryin to date a bit and let the planning on this slip.
Few Ideas Maybe just do a lunch , make a few pots of chili that sorta thing then ride from there.
Shocked at the response on this. Origonally figured maybe a few people from over this way that would wanna meet up. So not sure where the best place would be for this to happen up in IP. Origonal Thought was meet at willow creek and Ride in through there. Maybe have some races up windshield in good fun . Plus there are tons of spots to play from there but I dunno if that is a good idea for a big group.
Open for any Ideas from people on places,Food Ideas that sorta stuff. Never really tried to put something together like this so its new to this guy. I prob wont be on this week since I got finals starting in the morning. So post your Ideas and after this week Ill start trying to organize it. Right now Im thinking Jan 18 as stated earlier.

I'll Help...

I really have 0 experience in planning this sorta thing so any suggestions would be great.

Bubba - I've planned an event or two in my day, and I'd love to help you out. Personally, I like the idea of Blacks, or the Big Holes, but that's just me. Let me know what I can doo to help, everything from food to maps, to flyers, to accomadation info for overnighters..... I'm your gal friday. PM me when you get time, or the number's in the book.

I am up for a group ride

I am up for a group ride in IP. There is a doo talk ride at bear lake on Jan 28th to the 31st. So any weekend other then that will work. I am also looking at going down to preston on friday if anyone is interested.

Friday ride is now a Saturday ride

With the storm expected on friday i am going to wait until Saturday to ride. Will be at Emigration Parking lot around 930am on Saturday. And for the Doo Talk ride, we do not discriminate, anyone can go regardless of what they ride. I will keep you updated.

Was talking to a few pieps today and lets plan on the 18th of january, here is the fun part.
Post which one you think will be better
1. Big Holes
2. Two Top Area
3. Willow Creek/Jefferson

Post what sounds best up until tues of next week. Place with most posts will be where we go.

If you folks don't mind, I've got a crew from Wisconsin that will be there on the 18th. And if you could show us around we'd sure appreciate it. We've come out every year in January since '98. :beer;

bubbs-

lots of good points about going to two tops with the amount of people, parking, riding terrain, skill level, etc. always love the view from the top of jefferson, but probably best to vote for two tops in consideration of all of the unknowns.
