For the 2010 M8s, are they not still under warranty? Why don't you have Arctic Cat warranty this, if they have to warranty enough of these DD's maybe they will start making them right from the get go!
For me it's because I want to ride this weekend, and the dealers in my area are far away. Additionally it can take a very long time for them to get things done.
No, I don't think the 08's had the issue, but while you are in there, why not!
I took the dd apart 2x, inspected it, and cleaned it. Put new lube in and bolted it back in. The first year the original fluid was pretty dark, and the second year I was amazed, it looked almost like new gear lube
I think it had something to do with getting rid of the reverse actuator and putting on the lever... very little chance of ever not getting it into reverse all the way with that mod
so the 08s did not have a problem? i've just discovered these bearing threads after not being on snowest all summer and its got be kind of confused. with the 4203 and 5203 and machining .050 here and .014 there.... I'm going to open mine up this weekend.
