Installed my Better Boards

i order mine friday night i ordered the clear / i wounder if they have been shiped yet if not i want red myself. can u help me out f bomb there being shiped to todd munden. and i cant wait to get them on.

Hey Super B, Could you post some pictures of those hand guard brackets so I can see where they are mounted? And who makes the ones you have? Thanks.

I think these were Powermadd's or Rox aluminum hand guard mounts. They were mine and he needed a set, so they are on his sled. The mounts are fastened to the angled part of the handlebar. When we installed them, we twisted the mounts by putting a screw driver through the mount and massaging them parallel with the hand grips. It was probably a 10-15 degree twist. We really haven't found a good mount to work with these bars yet so we had to make a set work.

mummbles call into the toll free order line and check if you can change your order with Molly. It's 3:30 am and I'm off for a fishing trip today and can't check on it. Might be too late by the time I get back.

Also note we keep a huge stock on the shelf at all times or if we get a big distributor or dealer order that cleans out a model we remake them rapidly. We can make 300 sets a week. We coat special colors the day of the order and get them out normally the next day. Just another one of the many reasons Snowmobile Better Boards are #1!

To the guy that got the plain version and wants powder. All processes and powders are not the same. Ship them down to us and have them done right. See the website and call the toll free number if you need help.

Thanks dude!

Rob, One of these days I will make it back out to your neck of the woods to ride! When we do, Boise will never be the same... :)

thanks f-bomb i did call and they were done clear coating them yesterday and nice to talk to - it was my fault fro what color i have i should done some more resurce b4 i ordered . i still cant wait for then to get here so i can install them winter is getting closser and closser every day . need to get my old 06 ready for the year

B...come out here and ride some day SOON! Except prepare that you might then go crazy and have to move here. We've got it pretty darn good for all activities outdoor!

mummbles...I think you will still flat out love those boards. They are really strict in the back so I'm betting that they will look excellent and perform equally as well. Worse case..a little effort later is to pull them and we re-finish down the road. I've done a bunch of different ones on my test sleds and it's a PIA to pull but not un-doable. Gonna bet you'll be thrilled and it will never be an issue. No matter what we are here for you so let us know if you need more help.
Rob

Oh yea..back from fishing..BRRRRRR should be riding! Close close close

Just an observation...I noticed the better boards for the other brands all have at least some side wall reinforcement built into them. Is the RAW tunnel just built stronger therefore the reinforcement is not needed? I'm thinking about getting a set of these, but would feel better with some side reinforcement.
How is everyone's holding up? Any warpage?

Mine have a full season on them and no issues here. They have worked great.

Someone else can chime in about the side of the tunnel & if it effects the strength.

HERE IS THE DEAL:
On this particular model we know that if you add an L support and rivet it to the base of the tunnel you are in serious risk of a catastrophic failure do to increased stress below the front supension bracket. The tunnel is designed to be simply a snow blocking plate and for attachment to the foot bed along the bottom. TEST: tap your tunnel from the top down to the base and listen to the difference in the report and that sound is structural strength. Reach along the bottom by the front suspension bracket and with your fingers see how you can wiggle the tunnel in and out. Now imagine the force of attaching metal right there and how much play there is in and out with constant use. FAILURE IS IMMINENT..this is not BS or nonsense this is a fact and I personally have seen MULTIPLE FAILURES on that chassis and every one of the SIX had an L support riveted below that bracket.

The strength of this application is in the outer support bar from your steering hoop assembly to the rear upper connection while resting on the factory rear suspension support bracket. The Better Boards are 5 times thicker then what you remove but the real structural support is inherent in the factory design. IT'S THE SINGLE STRONGEST FOOT BED OF ANY OF THE LATEST FACTORY MODELS. If you are a jumper or big guy we offer even thicker Better Boards and we are getting ready to introduct BETTER BARS. Stronger outer support bars but they are in testing yet and so our lab bend rates and then field test results have to be adequately performed before we release them to the general public. Better Boards or Better Products...WE DO THE TESTING SO YOU DON"T HAVE TOO!

NOTE: On any of our 24 models that will accomodate an L or wishbone or scallop support and will benefit strength without a structural sacrefice we will (and DO) include it to that design. Just not on the Polaris IQ RAW RMK model.

Now remember that we have had this basic design in use since the very first 2007 models were introduced. We have now over 1400 on the snow with well over a MILLION TEST MILES and no structural failures related to the design or use of Snowmobile Better Boards. We also have thousands of the other 24 factory stock models in use for additional testing of our other designs. Same net results. Just another one of the many many reason Better Boards are the most popular aftermarket aluminum running board inserts on the planet. WORTH EVERY PENNY just ask the masses!

I wish I would have known you were offering a thicker stronger board. I just bought an Assault, and I have full intent to ride that sled like it was designed!!

These boards are the cat's meow and then some. Have them, Love them.

How many complaints do you hear of round here????

Thats all I'm sayin......

Lane..Tear it up. If they fail I'll support you! The rest of your buggy will fail before our product does. The 2010 models have a few mods in design that make them BETTER yet over our HUGELY popular 2009 versions. Stronger cross beams modified cleat patterns..all big plus' especially for the GO BIG CROWD.

We sell and have sold thousands and thousands of Better Boards...complaints fall behind props by about 99.5 to .5%. I think common standards for complaining about anything on earth is about 90% to 10% so that really says something!

I've sold well over a million dollars worth of aftermarket snowmobile products in my career as a racer, rep, and business owner. My strategy is to always align myself with the best companies selling the best products in their given niche. Both so I could enjoy exceptional aftermarket products for my own personal use and also so my reputation for performance and quality is unparalled. Makes earning a living at this limited and difficult environment a little easier! While that has worked very very well none have even remotely been as positive in overall consumer exceptance and positive feedback as Snowmobile Better Boards. Rest assured we will keep at it as well. New and BETTER each and every opportunity.
