I must say this is some pretty nice work of you Christopher.
Super tread and this i am sure will help a lot of people who will install a supercharger like this.
This is the best documented tread i have ever read on a forum,keep up the good work and have a great ride on that lovely sled of yours.

I am waiting on a new riser for the handlebars.
Once that arrives, then I will be able to re-install the new handlebars and re-attach all the electronics and get to the START UP PHASE.

I finally was able to take my nytro out for the first ride after my MPI S/C stage 1 install. The power is quick and smooth, perfect for my type of riding. The S/C ran flawless. I cant wait for more snow.

I like to do all the installs my self. Its good to no your sled inside and out.

Next week I will FINISH the install.

After letting the supercharger sit quietly for a few weeks, we tested the belt tension the other night and determined that I have to remove the short belt tensioner bolt and replace it with the LONG bolt.

Belt deviation is now in excess of spec, so I need to tighten it up a bit, and the short bolt is Maxed Out.

Tonight the longer tensioner bolt will finally go in.
Might actually have this install FINISHED by the end of the week!

Under normal conditions I would have just paid someone to do all of this.
But where's the fun in that.
This was a great summer project that kept me near my sled all summer long.

Belt tensioner has been removed and the longer bolt installed in place of the short one.

Belt tension is now back up to spec.

Waiting on a replacement brass nipple from MPI for the Supercharger Oil Tank, and then its time to add oil, plug in the wires and START THE MOTOR.

Im using the shorter tension bolt in mine and it seems OK. How far off was yours? Maybe i should change mine.

The shorter bolt was fine on mint until the sled SAT FOR A MONTH.
Then when I did the tension test again it failed.

It depends on low altitude or high altitude pullies... high generally gets the longer bolt.

I need to change to the longer bolt. Chris are you installing any gauges? A/F,Temp,Boost.

My new nipple shipped out from McMaster.
Hopefully it arrives tomorrow and I get to finish the assembly on this.

What pulleys are you guys running? I only get a few turns on the short bolt before my belt is tight? I'm running 33/25 but i think im going to see if i can get a 34 bottom pulley and still squeeze the belt on. (if they make a 34 tooth pulley)

My kit has 31 teeth on the lower and 25 teeth on the upper, for a 56 count.

I have the same setup as chris. The short bolt is all the way in but my belt seems tight enough. I dont want to get it to tight. I can only push my belt about a quarter inch with my finger. But i dont like how the bolt is maxed and i cant tight'n if i need to so i will probably install the longer bolt.
