Input on Frogskinz/2coolair vents?

I just installed a pair of Frogskinz shock well vents and am wondering about durability? They don't have any outer protective layer and I'm wondering about something poking thru at some point even though I don't do a ton of off trail riding. I found the 2coolair vents online are about the same size and have tougher outer membrane that might be worth putting over the top. Anyone have these on their sleds? Results? Any input would be great! Thanks!

The exact reason I did not go with a fabric/metal frame vent. I have used the Holz shock tower vents now for three years. They have been great. Anodized aluminum, clutch side vent has smaller holes, does not let any snow in. These vents with the foot well vents provide great flow through air circulation under the hood.
