Anyone try indy dan clutch kit on there axys, If so what weights did you go with as he has 2 different types.

What are the two styles.

Dans clutch set ups rip. NA or turbo they both run well. The reason I ask what weights is because he has tested a pile of different weights.

One set feels like the polaris 10 series weights just blasts through the rpm. Other set has a low grunt, pulls hard out the hole.this is what I got when I talked with dan. I think he makes both kinds he is offering.

He was going to make some that were similar to lightning weights, with a couple tweaks. That's the direction I would head. I am guessing that's the 10 series he is talking about. Eventhough, I don't feel like they just blow through. They pull hard.

I ran 2 of the Indy Specialties profiles this year, the V3 and the V5. The V3 is hard hitting snappy weight that I really liked for tree riding. The weights were easy to adjust, performed great with tons of bottom and mid range grunt and a respectable top end. Test sled was stock Axys 800. Also tested the V5 weights, much smoother than the V3, a great low speed weight that wont lead to trenching, pulled well had an almost electric feel compared to the semi violent V3.

V3, great for the guy that loves a strong bottom end and doesn't mind committing to a line and keeping up on belt deflection.

V5, great all around weight, adjustable and a stronger pull than a 10 series weight. These are the weights I am running in my wife's sled.

The two different profiles fit different riders and if your honest with yourself and needs, Dan/Jon can help you can choose the proper weight for your application. I also like that I went from 20 sets of 10 series, Belly Buster and MTX weights etc to 4 sets of Adjustable weights that can cover every elevation I ride without bolts and loctite. I can adjust the weights in minutes and fine tune the shift profile to my hearts content.

I run his setup, the weights I have are the same profile as the Polaris 11 series. They are fully adjustable and easy to work with. 4 magnet points to play with based upon riding style and location. 2 helix settings, based upon what he told me one for lower elevation and high elevation. Worked well for me this season when my sled ran right.
