inconsistent idle

i have an 05 900 rmk anniversary addition I love the machine even with the bad rap these sleds have. It has the slp pipe and can installed by the previous owner and all updates done... i installed the slp cold air intake and gone over the sled replacing the intake boots and oil pump cable as well as general maintance the only thing i dont know is if the cpu was burned for the exhaust i need to take it to the dealer to find out... my problem is when i ride i go to whistler quit often and i need to raise the rpm when i start it in the parking lot even after warmup i use the cable adjuster to raise the rpm but when i get to where we ride we go up about 1500 ft and i have to lower the rpm or it races at about 3000 rpm. any idea would be great not sure if its normal or if i have a bad sensor

If you are having problems with your idle and your TB boots are good, it sounds like your TPS needs to be reset. Upon start-up the sled should automatically idle between 1400-1800 RPM regardless of conditions, that's the beauty of buying an EFI sled.:face-icon-small-hap

yes sir...

i would try the TPS first...

read the stickies in the begining of the thread...

"how-to links" will guide you to the TPS tool building thread, and under that thread is the TPS setting info and another link under that for the video that will walk you through it..

if your sure its not a vacuum leak...try tps and go from there..

how are your plugs? piston wash?

plugs r good. i thought it might have had something to do with the air pressure change when i was going up from the parking lot to where we ride but i will test the sensor and see what i find thanks 4 the help
