Impulse Nytro low speed stumble

Who all has the low speed stumble on the there Impulse Nytro? Mine acts like it's loading up all the time when going slow through the trees, I can never hold the throttle in one place without it loading up and dying. I continuously have to blip the throttle to keep it going, it gets annoying.

Any you experts seen this problem? Anyone have the fix for this? I know I am not the only one, I have heard other people complain about it and my cousins Impulse Nytro that is identical to mine has the same problem maybe even worse. I have played with the fuel pressure before with not much help. I had the same problem before I had the closed loop system and same with it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

if you get a very small boost leak it will do exactly this.. check all your small lines going to your boost gauge and map sensor etc... that's my guess.. thing is it won't idle we if at all and it won't act up under full throttle.

are you running the big 750cc injectors?

Are you saying it will idle bad? Or not? It idles fine and and runs clean once your into the throttle like you say but the low speed part throttle it falls on it's face all the time.

Seems wierd it would be a boost leak it has acted this exact same way ever since the kit was on. Last year I was fight a boost leak took it back to the dealer that installed it and they looked it all over and found the leak on the throttle bodies. My cousins has also been like this the whole time aswell

Yes I am... Sorry should have said that. It is the 2860 kit with 750cc injectors, pro logger. Closed loop was added last spring it didn't change this problem for me. New O2 sensor was put in first ride this year.

Thanks

Do you have the current V2 flash?

I don't believe I do, sorry bare with me here guys kinda a tard with all this since I didn't install the kit myself, cause that's a bit over my head.

The closed loop was added early last spring when it was at the dealer cause the turbo took a sh*t.

My understanding is the V2 didn't come out till a little later?? What is the V2? What is different/better about it then the closed loop?

Thanks

So originally you had the old fuel system with the adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and then you put on the standalone recently correct? And you had this same problem with the previous fuel system correct?

Um, yeah Zeb I had the fuel pressure regulator that was down by the clutches that you could turn in or out to adjust fuel pressure. I was told by the dealer they did the "closed loop" last spring. Does that do away with the fuel pressure regulator then? Yes I have always had this problem. Forgot to add that it not as bad when it's cold. When the motor gets warmer the more you go through the trees it gets worse.

I am going out to look at it right now see if it's still there. Again, sorry I am noob at this compared to you guys:face-icon-small-dis

Thanks

Sounds like a boost leak, my best guess.. very simple tio check. then you've ruled it out and you can move on checking other things..

check and see if the throttle positioning sensor has been ground to the battery. If not ask Paul which wire to tap. This makes a big difference on the 08&09

Hey higherpower... I've never heard of this... Can you explain more or tell us what you know and or have heard??? thx!!

If you put the standalone on and did not switch out the dual rate regulator to teh Bosch 1 to 1 you will have issues. At idle you may show 40 lbs but at 5 lbs of boost it will be 50 lbs, far from where it should be. Make sure your Black/Blue TPS wire is ground out to the battery, tap as close to the TPS sensor as you can. Check the hose going from the MAP sensor to the throttle body, it must be a dedicated line and it must be tapped in to the stock vacuum line before the 4 way distribution block. Make sure your plugs are gapped to 0.018".

I installed two impulse kits. Mine's an 08, a friends is a 2010. Mine idled terrible, his idled great. In trying to figure it out, I was told to ground the TPS to battery. It fixed the idle problem, but not the stumbling between on, and off boost. So now it has NM Boost-It system which I'm much happier with.

I thought I always had a "standalone" system since I first got it two years ago. I thought the "closed loop" was something new later last season??

My sled always ran like garbage with those big injectors bad idleing and stumbled in transition ect ect. Boost it was my fix stock injectors with bigger secondary ones in the intercooler. Question is has yours ever ran well? If so im with (Redline) small boost or exhaust leak.

No it never has nor has my cousins which is the exact same thing. It has always had the stumble/loading up on transitions and part throttle low speed.

Starting to sound like Boost it is the way to go I guess:face-icon-small-dis

I hear ya my PL with the big injectors was the worst running sled I ever had most stock 800's could give me a run at the time. Double and triple check exhaust as it has also been my nemisis. I had Dave at (Redline) do my header and combined with the boost it kit, my PL nytro is now the hardest pulling sled i've ever had it compares to my old MCXpress Apex. Here is the link to the boost it boys site Neil is one of the best i've delt with in the industry as hes a rider too and uses his own product. http://boost-it.ca/
