impulse apexs. Where does the heat go?

like the title says. Wondering what some of you guys do, the midmount turbo is in a location to get minimal fresh airflow. do these things start to wreck other components due to heat build up? What solutions are there for heat issues?

I have a full season on my impulse apex with ZERO issues! Paul uses the aluminum fuel cell because in previous years the plastic tanks were the problem for alot of burndowned sleds!! If the lines, wiring and other components that go around the turbo are routed correctly and tied up good then heat is the last thing that should be on your mind! I drilled 5, 1 inch holes on the plastic shrouds by the seat/fuel tank (about where your calf muscles would be) which really can help pull some heat out!

I know when I stop, the heat coming outta the top of the sled behind the intercooler doesnt seem to be any hotter than any two stroke with all their underhood pipe heat IMO.

I used those frogskin vents on the gas tank shroud this year, but last year I didn't and never had a problem. Before that I never even drilled any holes on the plastics anywhere. Like Matt said, if everything is routed properly you won't have any problems. I never have. Plus when it is but a$$ cold out side that gas tank shroud does get nice and toasty so it's nice to rest your legs against it and warm up.
