I would not have a problem riding with a girl. In fact I would love it if she could school me in a ride. I have had plenty of people outride me. I don't care who I ride with.

Having seen a little too closely the results of cheating in a relationship. It needs to be up front and openly honest about it. If I was with a guy or girl that lied to their spouse about who they were riding with that would probably be the end of me riding with them. If there spouse can't trust them how in the world could I trust them. It's not worth the drama.

I have had lunches and activities with other women. Some of em my wife can't stand. I never lie about it even when I know she is going to be pissed. That is her problem. It's work and nothing more.

She also knows that when I am riding I don't have time to waste chasing tail I have too much snow to tear up!

I agree i think they shouldnt lie about who theyr riding with or just convenietly leave a female off of the list of riders to save the feelings or whatever of his signifigant other. She will be alright with it if you havent screwed up and gave her a reason to not trust u. U poor sucks that cant go do what you want to do just in case she rages about it

potential problems are there, sure...but never ever imagined so much drama could and does exist with men and women riding together and how that affects their spouse/gf. I guess I love riding so much that when I'm doing it, I'm not thinking about the other crap. Just wanna ride. Great to hear there are so many women, my wife included, that just wanna tear up some white fluffy pow!

Maybe we can look at it this way.

Riding is better than sex and it lasts longer.

Why would I want to screw up having a great riding partner by having sex with her! And by riding I mean snowmobiling.

But what if they are already "hooked up"? I'm a happily married woman who loves her husband and I don't think I'd find a better replacement. He makes all my dreams come true and gives me everything I want.... except him having a reliable sled.... hahahaha

Just because you ride occassionally with another person DOES NOT mean you're gonna hook up with them. There has to be trust in a relationship and if there isn't.... I agree, things could happen, but not necissarily with the person you go riding with. It could happen anywhere! And if your soulmate leaves you... then I guess you weren't THEIR soulmate. Its a sad realization, but the truth.

it really is simple if you respect and love the one your with you can prevent mishaps by not putting yourself in those situations where they can and do occur. If you dont trust yourself than best not to be tempted by riding with one of these crazy women riders here on snowest... haha Its all just RESPECT for all involved.

Well Hunny Bunny and Hotlips have connected to ride together. So all you men who are afraid to ride with women, no worries!!

But seriously - sledding in the back country should really be WAY more about trust. I'm not talking about trust in your relationship or your marriage, I'm talking about trusting those you are riding with to be able keep a cool head, respond quickly, and be knowledgable about getting your *** out of trouble....mountain trouble - not sex, not romance.

I'm lucky that I ride either with girls or couples. And if one of the girls comes solo, it is so NOT an issue.

Totally different if it's couples! I would ride without my spouse if it was couples, or even a group with another girl in it. I wouldn't if it was all guys, just a out of respect for my guy, but that's just me. I probably wouldn't be cool with it if he was riding in an all-girl situation either.

Bunny, you're from BC... Lots of cool chicks to hook up and ride with, you just need to find them!!! I'm in Castlegar, but I ride Revy often as well. Try posting over in the ladies forums if you are looking to meet some ladies. There are lots of girls that can handle themselves in the mountain and are trustworthy and capable riding partners. And feel free to PM me if you ever want to ride out this way... With or without your man

Hummmm! I never thought to much about this subject until now! There are a couple different ways I look at it! I guess it is prob. because I know alot of you ladies that sled!

My wife has gone on sledding trips with the ladies. Lots of Ladies and about 10 hrs away from home while I stayed home and worked! I know there will be other men around for the night life on these trips because the event takes place at a local pub! Also more than often there are going to be men on the hill where they ride, not riding with them. Any how there are men around at these events.

I quess the way I look at it, if my lady were going to hook up with some other guy that could happen anywhere! I trust her and she trusts me I hope!


On the other hand, We have ridden with a ton of people in the sledding world and all are great people. I have sledded with Skadi, Oregongirl, Tammy2fun, SnoJo, Marmot, Jakester, Sleddingshedevil, dirt biked with Girlpowder, and just hung out with C4F at the snow shows. But while riding with these ladies all of their husbands or boy friends were riding with us!

I guess what I'm tring to say is that I have no problems with my wife sledding or dirt biking with other quys as long as she has a chick friend along.
I don't know what the difference is but it just makes a little more since to me that she is going to hang with another lady rather than the quys!

In our situation now days there seem to be plenty of rockin sled chicks for her to hook up and ride with. I would rather see her drive 4 hrs to hang with another lady than ride local with my friends! JMO!

Having met several of the ladies chiming in here...and having a wonderful wife that will not sled, I get the issue...

I have also met some people that have become lifelong friends from forums...some females and some males...

It is fairly easy to weed out the people trolling for more than just sledding buddies...It is also equally easy to demonstrate you have NO interest in more than sledding buddies...

Sad thing is, we have all tend to think you can play with fire and not get burned...playing with fire is NOT merely riding together, it is teh banter and inuendos, and some times imbibing together, that can get you burned...

discpline yourself, and you will never have an issue...make it a point to prove to your spouse they NEVER have a reason to question or doubt you, and you will get support to playing in the snow...

prove otherwise, and the consequences can destroy lives...sadly the first ones are your kids....

I have the same problem...not just with snowmobiling but also with dirt biking and street biking. My husband even tries to get guys we ride with to go with me when he is out of town (he works up north), but they never pull through for a ride.

It is definitely hard to find women who are as into these sports as I am.

If you ladies are ever in the Okanagan I will show you around the hills!

After my 30+ years of riding, I have to say a few things......when I am out riding that is what I am out there to do PERIOD. YES I have been single and in relationships during these years. I have gone riding with the guys with and without my significant other. I have been accused a time or two of having an affair with guys (so I was told, never to my face), and honestly I NEVER even thought of them in that way, I can not control what the guys are thinking. I can sure shut them down if need be though.....Apparently the guys would go talking about riding with a girl, BAMMM I was the bad one, no matter if I was in a relationship and my man was with me or not, or my relationship status. I guess that detail was left out of the conversation. When I am out riding I am "one of the guys" I don't care who you are. This has happened from what I was told even at snow shows.....I have respect for my hubby and in his type of work he can't go every time, I feel bad he can't go....but he pushes me to go ride with my friends girls and GUYS!!! TRUST is what makes a good relationship last!!! Each relationship is different with different circumstances, it is to bad that this is such a issue in some relationships .
