If you were buying an 2009 sled....

If I had the coin to pony up for anew '09 sled; it would have to be a Nytro MTX. To that I would add a 162" track and Stage 2 Super Charger. This is based off of my impression of the Nytro MTX I rode last weekend and the reliable HP of my '03 RX-1 mountain with the Stage 1 Super Charger.

It has only been towed one time in the last 5 seasons and that was due to a broken blower belt (my stupidass didn't have a spare). I now carry an extra of each belt in my windshield bag.

Cat already has a rider forward mountain sled. I would like to see a M series based off the new snopro. If the XP holds up it would be hard to ignore them for 09.

Just want to get my '08 600RMK in, snow melted and I'll be out of town for 2 weeks! But it would probably be another Polaris. Gonna ride the new '08 first and if I enjoy it enough powerwise I'll sell the X2 and buy a new 700.

Hard Choice.

If doo's reliability was there, engine wise, and all the other little things they fail to address were not there, that would be the sled for me.

As for Reliability, YOu can't beat the blue sleds... the weight issue is one I am not sure of yet.

A fan cooled XP or a small, 4-stroke Yamaha work sled that would be the size of an old Ovation, 16" wide track, rider forward and good wind protection.

I'm very pleased with my '08 Nytro and can't think of anything high performance wise that I'd want besides it.

A Doo 800 XP X Unless and I hope they do bring the 1000 back in the new XP or similar light weight Chassis around 475 LBS and 180 HP and I will be on one no question. Either way I am 99.9% sure it will be a DOO unless something REALY REALY big were to happen I will say 100% a Doo.

i also vote for the m8 in the sno pro chassis, is that the eactual pic of the 09?? looks sicc, im stoked on em, thinkin bout hittin up the cat shops and seeing what i can find under rocks. i want some info on it.

Probaly have to go with the xp, I would like to see a 1000 in that chasis. I can't afford to mod out a sled so having that power to weight ratio would be nice.

what?! you would drop 12g on a new sled but can't afford to mod out say a 4000 dollar sled? 8000 in mods would get you a lot further than you think. IMO

I will go for a M1000 if the new M sleds are based on the SnoPro. If you take a look around the Cat factory right now you will see SnoPro based sleds being produced. Not sure if they are to replace the M chassis or not.

I'm hoping one of these chinese outfits that make the $500 dirt bikes make a
800 mountain sled.
