If you were buying an 2009 sled....

2009 Nytro MTX with a factory turboe'd 180hp. Then I can spend my money on lightweight parts and get it down under 500lbs. Add a shot of snot on top of that....over 200hp, under 500lbs, Yamaha reliablility, turn key and not worry about clutching, gears, jetting, piss all. Yeah, I want that one.

Don't think Doo, Poo or Cat have anything that interests me. If anything a M8 Turbo would be great at 450lbs. Otherwise it's not worth it to go any way other than Yammi.

I'm actually thinging of trying to nab a leftover new in crate sled.

If I was snow checking: I really like what cat has in the M series (even though I'm not as brand loyal as I used to be), but I would probably have to go with an RMK or a Nytro because I have family friend connections the owner of the local Poo/Yam dealer.

Hey this is my opinion so don't flame me for putting down what I feel.

NOt sure I will ever buy a snowcheck again, what a joke. I may buy an 09 in 2010 after I find out what they had to fix. For now I am keeping my 06 with 2 years left on my warranty, screw the OEMs and them selling us junk that has never even been on the snow. WTF anyway, the only vehicle you buy sight unseen, may show up with a different motor, susupension, graphics, etc than what you test drove in the Spring. Suckers we are.....

Ya it is fun and cool to have that new sled but sure sucks seeing your new snowcheck sitting at the dealer waiting for parts, you can't order cans or other aftermarket parts cause they may not fit. Guess I am getting old (hopefully wiser and more practicle).

BTW Stock Rocks.

if your riding is mountain..09 summit 800r! i bleed a little yeller..but dont care! the xp to me is the best performing sled i've ever owned! climbs great..handles great..fuel economy sure has improved..power of the 800r is great! i havent ridden a dragon to do any comparison...but dont really need to cause the xp to me is an incredible ride!

if you noticed..even with the problems Doo owners have..they still love their sled! this must say something about the sled!

i know Doo's have their issuse's..hopefully they fix them for the 09's!

there is rumors starting already, i here around 165hp same weight or lighter than nytro 162x16 track mabey a supercharger it sounds interesting but is it true. so i will wait & then decide rumor sled or a nytro turbo .not sure how i would deal with only 165hp after 300hp i dont know if i could go back:D:beer;:beer;

08-09 600 snopro
09 IQR
09 XPrs

only race sleds from here on out with longer tracks only thing thats seemed to hold together for me

iamvector sure hope that comes true 165hp would make a good back up sled and flatland sled. (which is where i live, mountains are not too far away 140 miles or so)
Anything over 200hp around here is just dangerous mostly field riding and some narrow trails.
If you don't have one already a 2008 a 2009 TNytro is the way to go. They are so easy to ride it is unreal.
I used to bleed yellow not anymore.

Over 600 miles and not a problem so far.

I am not sure what I am gonna do. I love the power of my 1000 SDI. its the best stock reliable high horsepower sled I have ever owned! I want to stay brand loyal to Skidoo but I have heard there having clutch and motor issues with the new xp.

If skidoo brings back the 1000 SDI in the XP for 09 I will snocheck. If not I will either try to find another 1000 left over in a crate or if yamaha makes a big weight loss I wouldnt mind going back to my roots.

Is there a set date that all four manufactures do a press release or do the manufactures just release there new line sometime in the spring? The anticipation is killing me slowly!!!

I will definately be buying an 09 sled, but will have to wait and see what is out there when the time comes...not willing to spend more than the price of a new sled to make it work like it should for me...man with a budget!!!

(polaris shift, can't believe no one has mentioned one yet )

i have to agree i personaly think with the 600 class of sled has been overlooked mostly because the guys that have these sleds weather its a doo, poo ,or cat ....it seems that they are spending most of there time riding.....

600s are like fat woman everyone will ride one ...but no one wants to be seen rideing one............................

guess i like fat chicks............................

I couldnt agree more. Could someone enlighten me on the advantages of snowchecking?? I cant see any reasons to do this. You dont get the sled any cheaper and you are buying sight unseen (remember the RT1000 snowcheck claimed weight vs. the actual weight?)Ive always gotten WAY better deals by buying in December. Plus, you get to sell your old sled during the fall which tends to be the hottest time of the year. Plus by buying once the season has started you get to hear feedback on the machine you are buying.

thats a hard one? it would be either the dragon 8 or the xp 8. i would have to test ride them to see which one i preferred. the reason i didnt say a m8 is rumor has it they are changing chassis's and i dont want to be a guinea pig.

2009 M9 or M11 - undecided on engine at this point.

Black. It's the new green. :)
