If you wear an "ABS Bag" or "Similar" aren't you part of the problem ?

OT just think of how much good you could do if you put all your energy to a good cause instead of posting on a forum where you know everyone enjoys the great outdoors. After reading this post you come across like a scared introvert that wants everyone else to think and act just like you, you also seem like you have allot of hate towards others that disagree with your views.
I disagree that everyone that owns an air bag are the out of control extremely crazy people going out and causing the avy's.

Also OT it sucks that your wife passed away from a device that was tested on a test dummy instead of humans, and that you trust your life to a life vest that was test on test dummy's.

Do not bring personal tragedies into play. Show some respect.

Big red slap for you.

Honestly dude, and in your very first post? I too enjoyed the read, some pretty funny chit in here. If that last bit is really true (hope it's not), I agree with AR, not cool dude.

Clearly, if your an owner of such a bag you admit to taking the risk on potential dangerous slopes during snowmobile activity.

OT

Not really. We assume the risk and dangers every time we head out, it is just a chance that is taken. I never ride on unstable slopes but one never knows. The ABS pack is just another precaution to make sure that I return home to my kiddos.

Even if you don't ride the backcountry, you are not exempt from danger. Last year there was a man killed by a slide in the Flat Tops just out of Rifle, Colorado. He wasn't even riding in the backcountry, he was on a groomed trail and the hill above the trail broke and killed him.

All you have to do is read the retards posts to know he is.... well a retard. He talks all night long about mods but can barely change a belt , he talks on and on about riding style but can barely get out of the parking lot. Why would anyone care what he thinks?????

I'm probably one of the most careful riders (old) out there and after seeing some of the areas that slid this year, I'm getting the Snowpulse bag this summer. One day of pouring concrete and it's paid for.....worth it.

just throwing this out there, but that's EXACTLY what OT did when talking about avy victims!!! it truely sucks that he had such a tragedy occur, but those in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks as the old saying goes!!!!!!

i didn't read all the responses but the heading of the thread is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. i have an abs and it didn't change my out look on things

Doesn't an ABS airbag or similar device give the rider an opportunity of self rescue? Beacons & probes are for those looking for the rider after the avy has stopped. Does everyone know how to use a beacon & probe that carries them? The pack might give you a chance you might not have without it.

Welcome to SnoWest: Where every thread turns into a personal attack and justification of why one individuals personal beliefs and opinions are superior to another.

This thread was disrespectful to those that have died when it was started and it is just as disrespectful now.
