ice scratcher blues

Had side kicks and had them installed correctly but took them off as they don't put down enough pressure. Conventional are better and don't break unless you back up.

I just added ski mounted scrathers from Racers Edge in Calgary.

I run Summitseekers scratchers and can vouch that if you mount the front on top of the rail it will give them a chance to rotate backward and not bend, I have done this many times. GREAT product!

Thanks for the good word on my scratchers!!

i have had both styles and have been running slidekicks since they first started making them but with the optional carbide tips. i have run down hard packed rodes with glare ice and never had a heating problem and my hyfax look like new i also never had one come loose or lose a tip so that part comes down to just installing them properly and the carbides on ice will shave the ice and throw it right in the track and on the coolers but the person following tou will not like them due to the spray

the idea of having the front tip on the holz style ones is a great idea.. still might break em if you back up to many times. but seems like it would allow you to mess up a time or 5 and not snap em off!!
