I need some stuff nickel plated

I have an old pot belly stove that I am restoring for myself and some parts needs replated.

Do any of you plat or know someone who does? I'm not selling it so I need to keep the cost down.

I was ready to do my chopper in yellow zinc when I built it. At about the same time I was ready to the business burnt to the ground. Sucked ended up using rattlecans

Yeah. That google search failed. either out of business or they want so damn much cash it's stupid. I know plating doesn't cost that much

Guy wanted 1800 to plate the few pieces on that stove. What a crook

Almost anyone that does chrome does nickle plating just as you said, in many cases its step one of the coating process after cleaning or the base coat so to speak. Find a chrome shop in your area and they should be able to do it for you. Shouldnt even cost to much.

Yep. I heard(don't know how true it is) Step one was a copper coat. Step two was nickel. Step three was chrome.

Never mind PJ. The "home" chrome kit was pricey to get into. Didn't look that great. It might if you had some practice at it but not very cost effective unless you doing a bit of it.
