I got an 02 mountain cat 800 with a speedwerx pipe and y rkt-tech head and v-force 3 reeds i was wandering what a good clutch setup would be for 4-7000 ft i got 10-62's in right now and i am over reving in that elevation. i was wandering if i should go with 64 or 66 gram weights too get it to about 7600 to 7800 rpm range. i would like to have it dialed for when i go out to that elevation i don't have to change it. i'd appreciate the help

Track and gearing? I am not familiar with the profile of the Polaris weights but I easily pulled 66's with the same mods on an 04. I had cat yellow\white primary with 66 gram weights, straight 51 helix and Cutler red\white in the secondary in the middle hole.

How far are you over revving? If you are over revving a lot then go 66. If you are only over revving a little go 64.

last time i was out was the first time i was out with the speedwerx pipe and y on and i was running around 8200 so i figured 66 but i just wanted to be sure. Thanx for the help guys i got some 66's ordered i will put them in.

while your at it put a straight 55 helix in and for sure change your secondary spring, im running a sno pro spring, should be changed about once every year just so it doesnt sack out and there you are cussing the cat
