She replied to me too. I thought it was a sled, now she's calling it a car
She must have a few deals(scams) on the go. Here's the reply:

"Look how this works:

1. I will contact eBay and give all the info about this deal.
2. They will email us the forms which are needed for our deal.
3. I will send the car to your location and you will send the money at eBay.
4. After you will inspect the car and decide to keep it, eBay will forward the funds to me.

If the car is not suitable for you from any reason, your money will be fully refundable and I will take the car back on my cost. I'm sure it won't be the case because it's a state of art looking and working machine. Anyway, you will have 7 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.

If you wish to purchase it please provide me Your Full Name and Your Complete Address so I can initiate the deal through eBay. Also, let me know if there's something else you need to know.

Regards"

Maybe I'll ask about a package deal :D

She must be on her computer today because she replied right away with pictures of a Mitsubishi that she is selling as well as the sled :D

"Oh sorry the thing is that I also have a Mitsubishi Montero. I use to have a farm and no I am selling all the vehicles that i use to have them there.
So there for the confusion. Anyway I told you how the transaction will work. "

There were about ten of these on the Buy and Sell last summer for jet skis when I was looking for one. I did quite a bit of research and found that most of these are coming from overseas....can't remember which country. There was even one post from a guy showing the counterfit E-Bay invoice he'd recieved for whatever it was he almost sent money for. Good luck trying to get any law enforcement agency to track these people down. The internet is wayyyyy too anonymous for that.

Most of them are in Europe, Asia and Africa where they cannot be pursued by FBI, most notably western nations in Africa(like Nigeria). Countries overseas have bigger fish to fry than this so at the moment the best defense is an informed consumer, and it always will be.

Ok, I've had some action with my sled person!!! Here is the series of emails (starts at the bottom). I might need someone from Boise to be me to look at this sled. :) Here is the address she gave me... (1486 S Loggers Pond Pl, Apt 34 Boise, ID 83706). Read the series of email...it's pretty funny.

SWEET! What time on Monday would you like to meet? Is this where the sled is located? You must be like me and use your one parking space for your sled! :) Hey could you send me picture of an odometer reading...for some reason my insurance wants to see it?!?!

Thanks,

Kelly

Hey Kathy,

I was wondering what would work best for pick up or Delivery?
Do you have the title?
I will go and take out a loan from the bank today for I don't have that much extra money either. . I know how money is hard to come by these days. My wife just go layed off a month ago and kids are exspensive...
Anyway what will work best for payment to you?

Thanks Korey

Hi,
Thanks for being interested in buying my 2007 Yamaha Apex
. It is in a good condition, it has no problems at the engine, runs very well. It has an 1000cc engine, clear title, the VIN# is 172060. it is a great vehicle. The price is not negotiable , $3,665.00 firm. The only thing i am selling it is that I have problems with cash as this are hard times and I am just trying to find a job for 2 months and I berely cope with the money.
We will use only eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection to complete the sale. If you are interested and you have the funds available email me your full name and shipping address. Thanks.

::::::: 3,665 I'm getting ripped for that sled compared to the rest of you.:::::::

Korey - She has so many scams going she doesn't even know what she is selling. :) Here is an idea....I guess I'm meeting her on Monday to pick up the sled...and yes only $2700! Your getting hosed! Tell her you will have an old riding buddy from Weiser named Kelly pick up the sled and ask her when the best time to pick it up would be.

Here is my latest emails. (Picture wasn't of the odometer, it was of the handlebars.)

The picture needs to have an actual odometer reading. How many miles are on the sled? My insurance company is all freaked out about insuring such a high value sled and wants to verify it's miles....you know insurance companies? :)

So are we meeting at the shipping company? Which company are you using? Before I started delivering caskets, I worked for a shipping company out of Boise delivering things just like this.

I can't wait for Monday!!! Snowed in McCall this weekend....oh yeah!

Thanks,

Kelly

It would look like more of a professional document if she wouldn't have grammar and spelling mistakes...she isn't even a good criminal!

So, how were you to send the money? I didn't see any information about that? I'm interested to see what she is going to say to me?

The people that fall for these scams must really be stupid.

The problem is you have some low-life living in a 3rd world country that makes about $1500 a year at thier real job. They can sit on the computer and run these scams all day long and if 1 in 1000 bites, they make more money in one deal than in a whole year of real work. It sucks, but to them they are just tricking stupid rich americans. Sure its wrong, but why would they care about what we think is right? Put yourself in thier shoes and you can quickly understand why this is an epidemic online.

This crap happens on eBay all the time. A couple years back I sold a sled and some guy relisted it with all the same text, pictures, etc 2 weeks later for like 40% of what mine went for. The guy was from croatia or something.

I wouldn't link them to Snowest, then they will start posting in our swap meet. They probably don't even know about SW.
