The only problem with your theory Freak, is that parasites can't live without hosts. The east coast bunch would wither away. Then we could just re-inhabit the east coast. This experiment should be scheduled for every 200 years.

The basic problem is that there isn't any new undiscovered continent for the West type personalities to move on to. I still say we just need faster than light speed engines, then all the capable people could move to a new planet. There's no way the leeches could follow.
