I don't care

Police kill more innocent people than bad guys killing cops. People are getting tired of it and the line "I Feared for my life" is wearing thinner and thinner by the day.

If cops are so scared, maybe they should get a new job, you know, maybe a garbage man. Oh, wait, that job is more dangerous.

So you think Michael Brown had a right to punch the chit outta the officer that ended up shooting him?

Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

There are a couple cases where I think the officers deserve jail time (I think it was the case in Oklahoma), but even the one in New York was iffy. Yes, I think the officer should lose his job because he messed up that grievously so he rightfully so deserves to be fired. I would say he deserves to go to trial, but the courts decided he didn't.

Aside from that ONE case of the guy being in the wrong place at the wrong time(again I think it was in Oklahoma, but not 100% sure) it is cases of criminals getting killed by their own stupidity. Michael brown got what he had coming for attacking an officer of the law. The 300lbs dude shouldn't have broken the law(pretty sure he had like 20 times by this point) and he should have accepted that he was going to be arrested and he could duke it out in court. Resisting arrest will always end badly. Being 300lbs didn't help either. He didn't die from the choke hold he died because of the weight on him while he was on the ground. I am betting as large as he was he would have had trouble breathing flat on his back let alone with people on him(which surprises me that they didn't get in trouble).

I also give props to the families that tell sharpton and his gang to F-off. He isn't there for support, he is there to get his face time with the media. He doesn't care about the african american communities. If anyone cared about dark skinned people it would be Bill Gates. I just wish he would do something to improve communities around the US.

By innocent you mean like Mike Brown? Cops scared? I think you need to get a ****king clue about reality! Clearly you failed to watch the video by the OP!

Clearly, you have never been audited before!:face-icon-small-dis

Just because the IRS gets away with it, doesn't make it right.

I didn't mention Mike Brown, the OP had another thread deleted for language that grouped both Brown and Garner together. Garner didn't deserve to die and there is evidence that he was targeted for retaliation.

You need to come down from your high horse there fella, the OP is saying that he doesn't care if people get killed while resisting arrest and included Garner in another thread. Some people say that this guy was resisting and thus, by the OP's definition is subject to death by cop. Forget the fact that this guy broke no law.

I'm sure this guy was "resisting"

This lady obviously deserved to have her face pounded in because she was "resisting"

There are many cases that only rise to the officer's standard of resisting because the cop escalated the situation. People actually are allowed by law to resist an unlawful arrest, so saying that somebody deserves to die for resisting is bull****.

This is a very slipery slope. 95% of people who resist arrest are going to claim its unlawfull weather it is or not. A person is not actually even entitled to be informed why he/she is being arrested untill the detainment is secure. You are, however entitled to a hearing at which point if anything was done incorrectly or outside the law, it will be corrected at that time.

That is why police should hold themselves to a higher standard. Police will continue to lose public support if they cannot stop the injustices. Ie, I don't hate cops, I actually have 2 in the family. I hate cops that use their badge to bully, beat, and coerce and a system that doesn't punish them when they do.

While I don't know if "why' is true or not, a person is allowed to know if they are being detained or not. If they are not being detained, they are free to leave.

That is assuming you are still alive.:face-icon-small-win

Gotta make sure you pick the right cop, not one of those trigger happy ones. LOL!

I agree with you, LEO's do have to live up to a very high standard, and those who do not should be corrected in one way or another. Be it disciplinary action, or loss of a job, depending on severity of the screwup. Sadly, when a department has those "bully" type cops, and they tend to keep getting away with it, the comunity needs to look at their sherriff.

A person does have a right to know if they are being detained, but needs to know the difference between being detained and arrested. Many dont.

Yeah it is a tough situation. Police are human though and occasionally make mistakes. Sometimes these mistakes can hurt other people and what do you do at that point? To me it is similar to being a doctor and accidentally killing someone. Perhaps there should be police insurance so they can be sued? But I do think there are some real scumbags on the force who should be canned.

As Mike states there is a difference between being detained and being under arrest. Plain and simple fact of the matter is though, if you are told you are under arrest and you do not freely cooperate from that point forward, than under the eyes of the law you are resisting. DO NOT RESIST ARREST AND YOU WILL NOT BE PUTTING YOUR OWN LIFE IN JEOPARDY!!!

would like to say theres nothing worse than a gong ho authority driven control freak cop so if you come across one make it yes sir and comply if you dont you deserve to get you head ground into the pavement for being stupid that being said theres alot of honor in being a cop and wanting to help care for people and uphold the law bless those that show compassion and dont get desensitized

I have two attorneys on retainer to the tune of $10k at all times. Keep mouth SHUT! Admit NO wrong doing!:face-icon-small-coo

Al Sharpton was in Sears

He was there to protest the fact that most all of the washing machines were white.

So the clerk called the store manager, who asked, “What’s the problem here, Reverend?

Sharpton pointed at the machines and loudly bemoaned the fact that most of them were white.

The manager replied, “Well, Reverend, it's true that most of the washing machines are white,
but if you'll open the lids, you'll see that all the agitators are black."
