So, some of you may have noticed that EZ-Lynk has been slowly taking on a greater presence here on the SnoWest Forums recently.
While big rig commercial trucks ARE their bread and butter, all the guys that work/manage/own the company are DIE HARD Sledders.
This I know up close and in person as I have had the pleasure of riding with them over the years long before we had any business relationship
If you ever walk into their facility, its literally FULL of snowmobiles.:)

So for the last few months we have been working out how they could become more than just another paid advertiser here on SnoWest.
They really want to legitimately grow their presence in the Motor Sports community, and especially the sled segment since they are all passionate sledders themselves.

To that end I bit the bullet and bought one of their units to force myself to sit down and and LEARN first hand just what this little gem IS and is NOT capable of doing in relation to our new modern high-tech sleds.

If you are riding an..

---- Arctic Cat: Catalyst
---- Polaris Matryx
---- Polaris: Axys 850 Patriot
---- Polaris: AXYS
---- Ski-Doo REV Gen 5
---- Ski-Doo: REV Gen 4

This tool might just be something you want to seriously consider adding to your inventory of tools.

Over the rest of this season, I will use this thread to share all my experiences with this tool with everyone here on SnoWest as I discover the ins and out of it.

One thing I should note right up front that is Freaking Cool about this.
One Unit can be SHARED among MANY sleds!

While I ride Doo, I can carry this in my tunnel bag and plug it in to a Poo or a Cat just as easily as my Doo.
So this little bad boy can be shared in the garage and on the snow among all the guys I ride with.
If someone in my group is throwing an error code in the back country, all it takes is the correct "interface" cable for their brand and we can all use the same device.

For me thats a rather big deal as I frequently ride with guys on other brands and that massively increases the possible value of the box.

Let the fun begin..

NOTE: I haven't even opened up the box yet:D
LOADS to learn..

Look forward to your reviews. Curious as to what battery you will carry with you to power it up. I was wondering if a smaller lithium battery from the RC world (remote control cars and planes) would work. My understanding is this Auto Agent 3 can also be used on vehicles and side by sides. I have read how it can allow you to modify certain features on Ford trucks like Forscan does. So if you could cover those items as well that would be awesome.

I will begin the unboxing the learning process this week.
Will start posting to this thread as I get going.
I am actually Eager to see just what this little beast is capable of.

Might even buy a tune from Speedworx just to learn that side of the Auto-Agent as well.

Awesome, was just looking to get one of these yesterday!
Will try to get each of the boxes opened up and photographed today.
I bought the FULL SET.
So I have EVERYTHING they offer for
Ski-Doo
Polaris
Cat
.

Anyone I ride with that has the right sled will be able to PLUG in and give this a try on the mountain.

Will this do SHOT relearn and reset of break-in. Asked in past and never got an answer. Just ordered the BUDS system so I can do those things as I am having to replace a lot of 850 crankshafts this year and was tired of sending to dealer for SHOT relearn.

If it does that, I am not aware of it.
But I will reach out and ask the powers that be.
I do now there are quite a few things that are still unique to the BRP BUDS system that EZ-LYNK haven't crack "YET", but I know they are working on more all the time.

@EZ-LYNK

So here is the basic AutoAgent 3 that I picked up.
Its about as clean and simple as it comes.

With this I also got Auto Agent 3 Weather Resistant Housing that will allow me to permanently mount the AutoAgent on my sled as a data-recorder should I want to.

And since I am running a Ski-Doo, the third part of my basic setup is the BRP Cable Can-Am - SkiDoo - SeaDoo

4th Component is the BRP SkiDoo Power Injection Diagnostic Adapter

And lastly is the 2nd half of the Power Injection adpater that supplies External DC power to the sled when the engine is NOT running.

All together the final package looks like this before its attached to the sled.

((With the exception of the Plastic Weather Resistent Housing, all of this comes as a single kit when you order the Auto-Agent itself.
You just chose Cat, Doo or Poo and they build the kit for you.

Stole this pic from their website as it gives a really clear example of the External Power Injection system that lets you work on the sled WITHOUT having to run the engine.

Now this is just ME, but I am no fan of dealing with batteries.
So this is the route I plan on going with in the Garage and in the Trailer.
I should be able to clip the EZ-LYNK Clamps right onto these terminals and be set to go!;)

And a NOTE for DOO owners.
If you have the 10.25" screen with the onboard battery, you WILL still need External Power!
The ECU on the sled does NOT draw power from the battery for the EZ-LYNK to run off of.

New Version 110V to 12V DC Converter, IMAYCC AC to DC Converter 600W 50A,120V to 12V Power Supply, Adjustable Power Supply

Just placed the order for the little power supply I listed last night.
Should make playing with the AutoAgent in the garage super easy long term.
