HPS silencer with 2010 update

anyone out there running an HPS silencer on a 08-09 800 RMk with the 2010 update?? Curious how its working

I am, 150 miles. Sled runs great. I am NOT opening up the air intake as I've done on other sleds though. I want this eng to LIVE, and don't want to make it any leaner. I've heard last years 09 was lean in the midrange, this nice sounding can keeps me "goosing" it often, to hear that wonderful noise, and adds fuel to avoid running in the mid.

I had it on my updated 08 till the motor let go 100 miles after the rebuild. Dealer said it's coming of now, putting on the stock one again. Polaris is giving us no choice, if not the stock can, then no warranty for me. Running around 1400-3000'. Ran fine with it on in that time though.

I have the new HPS can on and love it, the sound level is not too loud and the mid range power is great! I went form the same '09 d8 with out the can to mine with the can this last weekend and there is a noticeable difference in the power between the sleds.

I doubt the power diff is from the can. Raced with a TOTALLY stock 09 800 the other day. Both sleds had 2010 updat. Started from a rolling stop of maybe 10 MPH as we don't have enough snow to hook up at all from a dead stop. My sled is geared down, helix, delrin washer is the secondary, and the HPS can, other than that stock. I pulled him for about 100 feet then he just took off. I was still picking up speed, so I wasn't out of gearing, but he just pulled a lot harder than me. When on his sled I could feel his 100% stock sled pulled harder than mine. (given my motor let go about an hour later, so I might have had scoring already when the races were done.)

had my hps can on when the update was done and they said don't worry about unless you are low elevations, another dealer iwas at was doing an 09 and he said the same thing

And that's just what my dealer said too. At lower elevation it will run leaner so be careful

THat will be why I have to change mine back to stock. I ride from 1400-3000 feet daily.

I have it on my 09 and it is fine.
