How to: remove foam on side pannels and hood

Has any one had melting issues after taking off the heat plate on the exhaust side?

I left the foam under the heat shield and heat shield in place, and removed the rest of the foam. I used Ultra RTV to glue the four corners of the shield to the side panel. I have ridden 4 times so far and no melting issue.

I just heat taped my shield on. Hopefully it stays! Did you take the foam off from the hood as well?
