How They Holding UP?

I am wondering how the 800R is holding up? Many burn down or ring issues?

What about the XP chassis? They appear to bend a little quicker than the IQ or M.

This is in the Ski-doo section so I am sure I am going to get a lot of there great responses but try to be as honest and objective as you can.

Ive got an 07 summit with the 800R and one of my crank bearings locked up. I have heard (but dont quote my on this) that the cases were to tight on 07 causing this. So I plan to open up the cases alittle bit. I love the power of the motor though. Very responsive.

800r

My 09' XP is running awesome. (now that I said that it'll probably shell out this weekend.) Got about 300 miles on it now. lost threds on belt about 250 mi. but other than that no complaints. The chassis is in my opinion is just as solid as my old rev, it can take flight just the same with no problems so far. I'm really happy with it so far.

1,200 miles on my '08 800r, 600 miles on the 166 belt traded in on warranty and another 600 miles on the 377 belt still looks new. My wifes sled has 1,100 miles on it still the original belt no issues with either engine.:D

Close to 300 miles on my 09 X package. I came off an 06 rev and love the XP chassis. It is hollow so don't hit anything solid cuz it will bend. handles like a dream and the 800r engine is running great

my runs very strong & it is holding up well. i've hit many trees headon & only broke the front bumper once. btw... the front bumper is way cheaper than the old zx chasis!! as many as I go thru, that is very helpful. the funny part is that I seem to be hitting a lot fewer trees on this new chasis. I really love the way it handles & accelerates. awesome sled all around!

760 on my 09. Alignment problem though. Pull cords out the left side. I think I run my deflection a little to tight. I like it where it is but it wears into the belt on the left side??? maybe that's why I lose cords. To tight of belt?

i've been thinking about getting the shim kit from rev man on doo talk. i pull cords on three belts in 400 miles.

we have had no issues or problems with the 09's and we have 500 to 1000 miles so far on 7 sleds--no belts no worn clutch parts--sleds rip and handle a little better than the 2008's--ride them all day and add oil and ride again--no adjusting clickers every time the elevation changes or you hit a trail or lake---not 1 complaint here and i'm keepin it for another year at least , maybe 2 :eek::D:beer;

After having a M-, a Dragon and XP.....the XP is my choice. I actually prefer the carbs over EFI. The only issue I had with a 800R is my '07 engine which broke a skirt. I repleced it with a '08 engine and no problems since. We ride with alot of XP's and have not seen a single problem.
As far as chassis toughness, they ALL will have damage if you whack something. I like the modular design of the XP so you can simply replace parts rather than having to unzip the entire bulkhead from the tunnel if you damage the bulkhead. They are actually quite tough...and no more ring issues like the older 800's.

2 07's here both with slp kits. Mine has 2100 miles on motor ( #2 ) first one lost crank at 450 miles. Wifes has 2000 miles with no problems. 4500 miles between the 2 and 0 blown belts.

650 miles on my 09 x no problems with the motor did eat a belt right at about 450 miles. Been riding cat for the last five years and the xp will hands down kill them. Couldn't be happier.

4000 miles of hell on my 08!! LOL it gets tortured. It flaked nikasil at about 3600 miles. Then it broke the end off the ring last weekend and wreaked a little havoc!! Not too bad though. I rode 50 plus times last year. ALL mountain climbing and hard boondocking. Not a chassis failure yet knock on wood. I took out a 5 inch tree at 40 coming outta a chute. Didnt bend a thing and it have every right to ruin the thing.

Very impressed with the sled. It has never gone to hills and not turned heads

08 Summit bought it with 3000 on it put another 500 on no problems still on a 166 belt til last trip. Two crashes 1 didnt leave a mark, 1 bent a top a arm, $75 later i was runnin. Put a clutch vent kit and a brace on before last trip clutches run cool.

08 xp 146x,stock, 3,300 hard miles, everything great but hpg shocks are in bad need of service, recoil sounds like its about to be an issue.
