In pounds. Stone stock. Either ready to ride full of gas or ready to ride no gas. "A lot", "too much" and "way too much" will not be helpful smart azzes.

My 153 was 659 stock rtr, 560 dry. I would get a snopro to be about the same due to shocks being a bit lighter to offset the weight of the track. You can easily cut off about 30lbs for a reasonable price.

663 full of fuel and 571 dry is what my spec sheet from Cat had the 162 HCR listed at. Drop an easy 30lbs for $500 on these sleds.

Search there is a massive thread on this from about oct-dec. I am thinking the 163 ltd was 608 out of the crate.

Wow. So it is about 150lbs heavier than a Pro and about 120 more than an XP. Does it ride heavy? I bet it's a beast to dig out. Do you guys ride them in the trees? I saw Chris Brown ride a Yamaha turbo in the trees and steep technical terrain and was really impressed at where he could go. It just seems like the Cat is so much closer to what I want right out of the box than a Yamaha. Seems like you have to change everything on a Yami to get it to work.

You don't feel the weight when riding it. When it is stuck it is heavy. . . But in my opinion all sleds are heavy when stuck. Also the pro is around 545 wet it think and is only 105 hp at 10000ft. So it is about a 100lbs before cutting some weight on the 1100.

I got a chance to ride a t1100 with 153 track in the trees and it was def heavy. Doing a downhill to up hill turn took much more effort than my td8. It was better than I thought it would be though. Head and shoulders above a nytro. I wouldn't want to try my normal lines through the trees with a sled this heavy.

Xp to m1100

I'm coming off an 08 xp and my m1100 rides and handles way lighter and I even find rolls out of a stuck easier as long as you are one a decent slope the weight seems to help you pull it down hill and roll it over I find it way more maneuverable and mine is a a174 3 inch. I jumped on my buddies 12 etec 163 yesterday and couldn't believe how hard I ha,d to muscle it and how much more input it took to handle when climbing. The one spot it doesn't and never will feel light is slow sidehills or any slow maneuver such as turning around or picking through tight trees

I can't imagine that sled being much fun unless you are going up and over stuff all the time. I rode my buddies short track 1100t on the flats where weight doesn't matter and didn't like it.

I think we need to be clear on what you rode? Stock 2012? Or vertical steering and 38" stance.

I would agree that stock it was to wide for the weight, and the steering made it feel weird. Now add the vertical steering and 38 arms(which 2013 will have cause it needs it) and you have a much easier handling sled. It is night and day. I definately felt more comfortable on it after the changes. Also I rode a couple xp's and the steering felt so weird. I am not hating doos. The steering makes the sled though. I think a doo with true vertical steering and the c-36 front would step up the game.

Correct, I did not ride a 13. It was a 12 that I rode in early Jan @ wolf. Wanna say it was Ryan Singleton form Big D motorsports who had the demo. Vert steering will and does make a dif. Sure a thinner front end would help to. I just remember getting back to my truck and when my riding partner asks what I thought my exact response was " man 4 stroke mountain sleds have a long way to go to compete with the 8's.". I agree that the xp steering is really weird. Rode an 09x yesterday and I gotta say it was kinda a bummer. Power was good but felt really outa place on it.

Track

IMHO once you put a recur track on these sleds and can put the power to the ground then the sled really comes alive I have rode several different setups from bone stock to modded bone stock they are a complete joke and shouldn't even be considered a mountain sled and can't hang with a well setup 800 anywhere but throw a few small mods ie track vert steering bs box and straight pipe and you have a monster that will hang with an 800 in the trees and destroy every 800 in a climb except high boost turbos I have put mine up against lots of other sleds the only 2 I have found that can out climb me so far was a tss etec running 9 pounds with a 163 3 in and hotly skid and a m8 running a aerocharger @ 14 pounds both had much lighter riders than me and are much lighter sleds but for the 5 g extra I got into mine I'm pretty happy to be anywhere near close and after my summer mods I will be crushing them lol.

The 13' 1100t HCR will be a great sled. It's my preference next year for 1100t's. The 85 duro 2.6 will be awesome. The only narrow stance to ever come on an HCR. The 1100t carries so much speed into, up and over hills, the better shocks are much needed. IMO the 2012 HCR is the perfect platform for the 1100t.

Wow am snow is a little hard on the pros I thought the mountain sled evaluation by snowmobiler said 530 in both 2011 and 12 rtr, no elec start though.

Edit I just looked them up, they are way diff on all sleds between the two tests, wonder why?

Pro 530, etec 560, pc8 559.
